My own JK 'Big Brake' research:

This is some fantastic research and more of a reason why I don't like TR if this was Evo they wud just tell you what to buy but TF is all about money not quality products and making the customer happy.

Disagree a little. They do make quality products. The rest MIGHT be true but you can't accurately say they aren't about quality. Not saying they are the best and greatest.

Just my opinion , I've had their products before on older rigs and wasn't impressed at all with the quality of there stuff but to each his own. I recently got a TF rear trackbar bracket for my brothers rig and every hole was so off that I just said screw it threw it out and went with a diff company , last time I ever buy TF products cuz this isn't the first time. Some people love TF just my cup of tea.

You know ill give you some credit there about the rear trackbar bracket. I have the axle side one that comes with my kit that I have. It's supposed to recenter axle but actually it threw it off center the other way. Guess ill have to go with their hd rear trackbar. I do like their trackbars a lot since you adjust them completely bolted in.

Yea that's the only thing I like from them that track bar looks bad ass but it's not really needed since moby still has stock track bars

 I thought this thread was about brakes...not TF??:naw:

Yep! I appreciate everyones thoughts...but lets at least try to keep focus here. I love our discussions but I would hate for my project thread to turn into an "I hate company X" thread. TF put out a great, quick bolt-on brake upgrade. IMO I think we can put together a much stronger brake system. So let's try to respect each other and companies out there that at least are trying to give the Jeep community options! :thumb:

PS Stay tuned for big developments very soon ;)

What's your thoughts on the Brembo setup for the JK besides the price?

First, I will chuckle just a bit. I do because, in my opinion anyway, its not really an 'option' for 99.999% of JK owners simply because of the price. $4400 for two rotors, calipers, and two small adapters is insane. If they are going on a $150k sport lux car, maybe.

For reference, the calipers I am doing my work around ARE Brembo-made. So my calipers, rotors, and the adapters I am fabricating are gonna run about $500. Maybe $700 if you want to upgrade to some premium slotted and cryo treated rotors. Its just too massive a price difference to me to skip this research just to have a faster solution. A few hundred bucks, maybe... 3900??? That buys a damn nice suspension setup!!! :)

I am sure they are great, though, to answer your question more directly. Just out of my budget... and if I may speak for others, probably most Jeep owners' budgets...

Very interesting! For the first time in 6.5 years I am considering dumping my 15inch wheels and moving to 17's.

Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I have found that factory rotors and a premium set of pads work just as good as all that high dollar stuff . If you need more than that - grab ya a boat anchor :cheesy

👌

Damn what's with the hostility take that crap to another thread or another forum rather. Keep this thread on topic.

On a small light weight mall crawler two door you may be right but, an armored up heavy 4 door needs all it can get sometimes.
