My Dozer

Have your wife do them.. lol, did she mail off your rebate from dynatrac? I think you have until the 31st of September.

Lol I asked already. She said hell no!!! She did mail off the rebate tho and took care of the slab rebate too. NR had $100 off any atx purchase

I have the rebate for the atx. I ordered 3 rims and the last two separate. Would that count? I thought it was a complete set at once.

I think it was off a set, not positive tho. Call with your invoice number, doesn't hurt to ask.

I'll read the fine print. Hopefully Northridge will let me use the dynatrac card towards the evo carrier. Need to get it ordered soon. Supposed to snow this week. Want to paint it in decent weather.

Snow? Already? Dang that's crazy, still fair hot here. I'm on the fence still Over a carrier. Looking at either EVO or GenRight.

Weather for tomorrow. It's already snowed in the mountains up by my town. Oooh, either carrier is nice. I already have evo corners, so no brainer for me.

Yup no brainer for sure. It's supposed to be 90 today, not too bad

Must be nice. We have 3 months of warm weather and 9 months of winter. Really want to go do the continental divide trail before any major snow fall. Get some more use out of my factory tires before I take them off. I really hope trail grapplers do good on ice. My old toyos did pretty good. Still debating on the new nitto tires or duratracs for the wife's jeep

Never had problems in the snow with my trails, well more so ice Im not sure about but its always done well when in 4wd.

I needed front bump stops, so I tried to get creative. I know I needed at least 3" up front for the drag link flip. And trying to think of our other jeep I decided to try metalcloak. Maybe I could use the extra 1"spacer later on. Well, I got them in and was I surprised! I basically got 8 hockey pucks. I could have went on Amazon and got a case for cheaper. First and last mc product I'll ever buy from them. I really tried to give them a shot, but really, nothing but Fucking hockey pucks. Oh well, live and learn.

Just came across your build thread.
Totally dig it.

Looks like you could have used 49-53 Ford truck motor mounts instead of the hockey pucks. Not that there is anything wrong with the pucks. Some guys use them instead of the motor mounts as well. Lol

thanks! these will work, just feel dumb paying so much for hockey pucks. lesson learned.. never buy anything or recommend them.

Got that ball joint press in and the adapters fit the bottom ball joint perfect, I might have to find a big washer for the top joint. Don't think I need the dynatrac install kit. Also got a 3/8 torque wrench. Perfect for small jobs. Also I know that's the wrong adapter I have on, just checking all of them.

Kit looks good, just be careful and don't try to ever over pressure a stubborn joint, whack it a few times with a rubber mallet if it won't pop out, I think that kit is cast and not forged. I thought I was being careful before and bent a cast clamp :banghead:

If I fuck this one up I'll go rent one from o'riliys. More worried about putting in the new ones than taking out the old. Trying to see if I could grind down a adapter for the angle. I'll use plenty of anti size to prevent galling.

Sorry, wasn't trying to sound like a dick, the worst will be pulling the old ones. Try tapping with a 5 lb sledge if they won't budge

I am new to jk's but is this a usual thing with the angle? Can't you tilt the clamp to remove the joints?

Some kits have an angled adapter. Let's see how it goes. Going to try to get them on this weekend.
