Movin to Reno

Thanks I've heard of the street and will continue to try and reach someone there to talk about rentals they don't seem to respond very well. I send you a message with my name and number for contact purposes.

Sounds good! bummer no one is getting back to you yet!

Welcome to Reno (almost). Wish you luck on your house search. You guys get a run going let me know :)

Thanks
I will be working on the south side but don't care at this point as to where we live.

If you can't find something in Reno you could always live in carson. Carson to south reno isn't very far, it's probably easier drive than north reno during commute time.

Well I guess we could show you some of our trails, but you might have to buy us some beer's. Iet us know when you are ready!!

Awesome! you'll really like it, tons of places to go out. I definitely echo the beer sentiment but will be fun to get out there and check things out!

I get the feeling someone wants to set me up for a rough one. Take it easy guys I have a lifted 08 on 35's and open open but willing to try some trails that most recoomend a rear locker. Been lucky so far and have not needed one. It's on my wish list.

A Reno run sounds fun. I'm running a similar setup. (08 35s no lockers) I have been wanting to get in on a group run and meet some new people to wheel with.

I'd definitely be down to get together and meet new people/wheel some trails

No problem. We had planned on spending the better part of May clearing all of the sticks off the trails anyway. Too soon? ;) :cheesy:

Speaking of which, I am sending out a feeler for a run this weekend. Anyone interested in heading out Sunday morning (6/12) somewhere? I am fine for whatever but really do not have a clue about local trails, so would need to rely on someone else to lead with their previous knowledge. My only thoughts would be like Hunter Lake or even Hobart Lake, but really, would defer to someone who knew more.

Sharkey, I know you were busy in May, but are we good on the stick problem?

Please let me know either here or via PM.

Im free all day Sunday so count me in, Hunter Lake wouldn't be bad as long as its passable up high, Never been to Hobart lake and dont know alot of other trails that are right here as Ive only really cruised around Peavine and further east. Did do Bronco Canyon a month or 2 ago with Steve but thats pretty involved. Im up for whatever and any suggestions anyone has.

I was thinking maybe early morning and heading up to Hunter Lake. I would likely have to be back shortly after lunch. Any other thoughts?

Anyone else up for a short run in Reno?

That sounds good to me, just let me know when and where you'd like to meet. Probably best to meet right at the trail head, I can get up to start whenever. if you haven't don't it yet it's a decent little trail, be curious to see how the winter affected it as I haven't been up in about a year

^^ Our daughters have the same engagement that neither of us can miss. My vote would be to meet at the trailhead at 7 and to go up and down the same way rather than heading over to Cabela's.

That said, I can always head home early and come back down if others want to head over to Cabela's.

I will opt for the out and back approach and meet at the Scolaris at Caughlin Ranch and McCarran. I also recommend the 7:00 am LEAVE time, meet at 6:45am?

Does this sound good to everyone?

Sharkey told me about this thread...I'm a maybe depending on when it starts. I have some commitments Sunday afternoon that I can't miss. Most Hunter Lake runs meet up in the parking lot on the corner of Caughlin Ranch parkway and McCarran. There is a Starbucks there and a Scolari's. No gas.

Edit: Here is a link to write up of the last time we ran it. http://wayalife.com/showthread.php?20691-Hunter-Lake-Trail-the-long-way-to-Cabelas

Sounds good to me! see you guys there!
