Lucky - a 17 JKU build

I think you want them to be the same angle. When the rear suspension compresses, the pinion tilts up a little, but 99% of the time you’re running with out that squat.

Perfect. Thanks

I have a excel sheet and saved radio files with about 50 channels and frequency names that you can program into your radio with chirp if you want.

Never hurts to have more, I have plenty of memory left. I just used the channels chirp provided for gmrs and frs.

Went over to a local muffler repair shop and they cut out my crossover piece and welded in a straight piece. Fixed my issue and was able to install my transmission/oil skid with no problem and no spacers needed.

Busy week for me but I'm almost done. Got the following finished up
Switched out springs to 3inch evo
Switched out shocks to rancho 5000x
Added bumpstops
Dialed in front control arms to 4.5 degrees caster
Dailed in rear pinion leveled with driveshaft
Installed rear axle shafts
Installed rockstar skids
Installed transmission/oil skid
Installed lod sliders

Only thing I've got left is
Install front lower control arm skids, just went with rockhards bolt on version
Install hydroassist
Weld in C gussetts
Service all control arms with new rebuild kits

Damn Josh, you’ve been busy! Can’t wait to see it on the trails!!!!

I’ve got to weld in my C gussets as well and install new ball joints. If you weren’t so far away, we could do two at the same time..... what would you do with a million bucks?

....2 chicks at the same time!

Man I'm so exhausted and sore lol. I took off work 2 days and worked 16 hours to get most of it done.

Dunno if anyone else had this problem with the modified dynomax exhaust but the piece and clamps between the muffler and race bullet was hard for me to keep in place with the bolt on clamps, I used the HD ones. Almost like it needed a hanger to keep it from drooping. Anyway, vibrations got the best of it and the bullet and exhaust tip fell off while driving lol. Back to the muffler shop and got it fixed permanently. Not moving now. 20200214_075733.jpg

Maybe the extended pipe with the extra hanger in the back made it more stable on deuce, I never had a problem with drooping in that section. I did the pre axle dump this time. Either way I think it's advisable to weld it vs bolt on clamps for anyone going this route. And it's really not that expensive for welds. I only paid $40

Worked on the hood latches Adam sent me. One piece where the latch connected was too large but nothing that a little grinding couldn't fix. Latches solid now. Thanks again for sending these Adam. 20200107_214853.jpg20200216_125532.jpg

I agree about welding it. Never got around to it, lol.

Finally got my jeep back after it being in the shop for a couple upgrades. Hydro-assist installed, sliders welded to frame, and c gussets welded in. I really forgot how it drove before hydro lol but it feels pretty tight while driving and I feel some resistance which I'm enjoying. Can't wait to try it out on some rocks. Couple smalls mods are bump stops for the rear tire because it was shaking pretty bad and found a pair of front weathertech mats on the cheap, guy was selling them locally for $20!

Thinking about getting rid of the rear bumper and going with a rear fascia. Any cons to not having a bumper? I see a lot of people going this route. Any worries about losing protection back there?

Looks great! There’s such a difference with the ram up front.

I don’t see any issue with the facia and D rings. Not quite as much protection as that bumper you have.

Ok, that stinks. That bolt running through the middle section made me think there was some room for trimming and reassembly.

Okay I had to go out and check it. It is actually two parts. Maybe I can cut a couple inches off and still maintain its integrity? 20200422_150259.jpg20200422_134617.jpg
