Speaking from experience
I did the L83 swap on a Sahara JKU (D30/D44) and stripped the teeth off my ring and pinion about 5 months after bringing it home. Driving on snow and ice, hit a slippery patch then had a front tire grab and clank - broken teeth. For sure the Dana 30 can't take the torque with 37s. I have 35s.
If you're gonna torque up the axles in any way - definitely Im a vote for some type of axle upgrade.
