LS swap into a 97 TJ

It’s a foot print pedal!!!
Favorite build of the year now.

That's how it was from the PO, and I might have to leave it for a bit. Very hard to find an 01-02 Tahoe drive by wire pedal and module. Gonna have to stick to cable and love with a code for a while once it's running I think.
I love the gas pedal. Haven't seen one of those in a while!
I love it because my foot fits more comfortably on it.
With a gas peddle like that... you’d think it’s a hemi swap!

I wish. Hemi was just too much money and electronics for me to deal with.

For any of you guys suscribed to this, if you guys could keep a lookout for a drive by wire pedal and module for an 01-02 Tahoe with the 5.3 in your area I'd appreciate it. Not a single scrapyard in Oregon has one anymore and eBay sucks for finding these. If one is found I'd pay for shipping and the part of course and problably a little extra for your time as well. Just scratching my head on this and really not wanting to run it drive by cable.

Car-part.com

Find a salvage yard on there with the vehicle you need and then call and ask them.

Oh boy you guys are gonna love this. Not only am I stupid, I'm also an idiot. It's freaking drive by cable. No servos motor on the throttle body and this thing that I've been worried about is the goddamn cruise control module. I'm sitting here so confused on how it's supposed to connect in but I won't have cruise control because it's a damn Jeep. I'll tell ya, this thing has been giving me headaches.

When I dropped the engine in it was cockeyed so the transmission was angled towards the driver side. Engine hoist, and a few ratchet straps later and the transmission is centered. Transmission mount is coming from Novak and I will have it mounted and tightened before I remove these straps. IMG_20180720_214243.jpgIMG_20180720_214252.jpgIMG_20180720_214303.jpg

Mount from Novak came in. I have it mounted to the tranny and I have the holes marked where I need to drill into the skid plate/crossmember. Drill battery died so I'm SOL until tomorrow. She's all mounted up. Of course now I run into new problems... The driver side exhaust manifold clears perfect but the passenger side one is hitting at the motor mount and the control arm bracket on the frame. IMG_20180726_171757.jpgIMG_20180726_171801.jpgIMG_20180726_171810.jpg I might have to take the grinding wheel to both of them since these are block hugger headers and the only ones that will fit.
