KP's JKUR Build

Seeing you work on your Jeep has me jelous.....no wheeling or wrenching in the past 2 months. I need to do all my mods whenever I'm not wheeling to keep myself busy  Oh and what does mid arm mean exactly? Are the longer than short arms but not quite long arms? And I promis this is the last question, is there a soft top in your Jeep's future? ;)

315 is a width measurement BTW..... Just letting you know

Yes it is but there is a relationship between the width and sidewall height which is why you can have a 65 that is the same diameter tire as a 70 or 75 which is related to the width of the tire.

Yes I know this all too well. Zach used it as a height. was just letting him know.

That is why you need all three numbers when quoting in metric

My brain defaulted to 17 inch wheels. Sorry guys.

Metric size tires shouldn't exist. The american sizing is so much simpler I don't even know how the metric sizing was created....then again, if I were a lame ass ricer with tiny sidewalls i would probably prefer metric sizes.

One better? Make 35's actually 35" and 37's and 33's and so on. This bs where a 35 is actually 34.6 or 34.4 or 34.8 is ridiculous. Make em what you call em.

x2...I hate the math to figure out a metric tire, but at least they are accurate compared to our "Merican standard sizing!

nice

Looks good! Told you the wife wouldn't even notice! I cant keep my wife out of my jeep now.

The only thing I have noticed after a few thousand miles on my RK kit is that 2 of the brake hose extensions started leaking. Now I could of been just blown from banging my hands all day or something else is going on there in the connectors. just keep an eye on em.

Its not too confuaing once you know how it is done but yeah the fact that i have to get a quagulator to figure the real size is annoying.

That's awesome KP love it
Thanks man! I hope to get out and wheel with you soon to see if I can keep up!

Looks awesome dude! I'm so broke, I'm saving for a Zone Off Road lift to build off of haha I love my Jeep but this "Just Empty Every Pocket" lifestyle sucks lmfao
Yeah, I'm a little light in the wallet myself after all of this. It was a little sooner than expected, but when the deals started coming together around Black Friday, I jumped on it.

No wrenching in the past 2 months?!? What? At least toss a diff cover on there or check over your suspension bolts or something! I'm just thinking out loud here, but I believe their mid-arm kit refers to the arms that come with it are not long arms, but they are adjustable and adjust longer than the stock ones. But even the stock ones aren't that short anymore when compared to a TJ's short arms. So yeah, longer than stock control arms but not looooong arms.
Whether or not there's a soft top in my JK's future depends on where I live. I just don't have anywhere to store the hardtop (garage ceiling is simply too low). So, for the time being no. No soft top.

I like metric measurements in everything except for tires. They really seem to over complicate it imho. 35x12.50r17. Pretty simple.

Now THAT would be awesome! Why does everyone in a 35" lie about their size? 37's are closer to true, but 35's are all over the place.

Thanks! I'll keep an eye on my brake lines for leaks. I plan to crawl around and torque all the track bar and control arm bolts to 125lb spec this weekend, so I'll look at the brake lines while I'm under there.

I plan on ordering new diff covers in the next couple weeks and changing my fluid. I do check all of my bolts before every trip. I feel like with you being a forumer TJ owner and a once called yourself a "purist" you would be against hard tops :bleh:

Yes metric is great usually because it just plain makes more sense.

Most men lie about their real size......

Hard tops on Jeeps never bothered me, but I was very anti the unlimited when it came out as an LJ and was furious when they put 4 doors on it for the JK (BLASPHEMY!). It would appear that I got over that after about 6 or so years. There's something nice about a trunk that can hold more than a small laptop! But boy do I miss that TJ turning radius when I'm doing a 35 pointer on trail.
