JKUR 2015 Build

Niice build. Looks like you put a lot of thought and research into this build :)

Thanks. The build provides good road manners with great trail capabilities and should be great for what I use it for - accessing my elk hunting areas, trails, etc. we don't get a lot of snow where I'm located but the mud is non-stop from October to early June so the lockers were the best option.

Nice build, love that color. Did you ever get rid of those axles? What gear ratio did you choose with those 37s?

Thanks. The axles are gone. I'm running 5:13's with those 37's and it's perfect IMO. That ratio offers great power and excellent highway manners with perfect trail gearing.

Yes, that is a lifted Subaru Impreza running ATV tires. It did well on the trails. Great job to Pacific Rim Wheelers, The Seattle Crew that was with us, and NW Jeepers.

Were you at Browns Camp on Saturday? I thought I saw you drive past us but I wasn't sure if it was you or not, thought we would hear from you at some point.

Yes I was there. I didn't know about the Shell station thing until I got a message Saturday night. It was my understanding that when everyone referred to Brown's Camp, I thought it was the staging area of Brown's Camp. No worries, I know for next time.

You went right past us at the shell station, I thought it was you and thought maybe we would catch up to you at the staging area or along the trail, it was a good day for us, how did you do with the new rig and modifications?

The group of 4 of us from Pacific Rim did well. The Seattle group we picked up had some breakage - YJ front leaf spring, XJ front lower control arm, XJ rear track bar bent.

We didn't leave the staging area until around 11, enjoyed the snow squall at elevation, and by the way, the Subaru hung in there with only a few bypassed. Now I only had 89 miles on the axle assemblies so I didn't get stupid since I'm still breaking things in. But all in all, I'm very pleased with the build and the lockers were a great choice.

It's nice that with all the work you did and kind of last minute that it all came together and didnt have any problems. We didnt have any real issues, a stuck E-locker that we got to work finally and I lost both ARB lockers at the same time half way up Waterfall and went the last part of the day without lockers but wasn't an issue, after I washed the mud off I found air leaks in both air lines where they were too close to the exhaust cats. We were talking about maybe going once a month so maybe we will see you on the next one

I'd say once a month or so would be good. Message me and I'll send you my phone number so we can stay in contact.

Didn't see it in the thread but what are the specs on the front and rear G2 axles? Is the rear an improvement over a stock Dana 44 and does the front have bigger tubes than a 44 or same?

5/16 tube material x 3" overall diameter tubes. One ton ball joints. I went with 5:13's. ARB air lockers front and rear. Spanner adjusted ring gear rather than shims. And a sweet military/veteran discount.

I am very confused by those links.

I love that the g2 is made in USA, but in each spec list, They have contradicting info..

First in the description, they say 1/4" tuning- and in the specs, 5/16 tubing

And then it says 3/8 thick brackets but in specs says 1/4. ?? What is it?

The tubes are 3" x 5/16". The brackets, etc are 1/4". The ball joints are one ton. The lockers are ARB air. Looking at my build sheet now. My only issue and I'm going to just cage it, is the aluminum diff covers.
