The only thing I am nervous with would be adjusting the control arms to get the correct ride height and adjusting the CO's correctly. I haven't read through the instructions but I'm hoping they are detailed :grayno:

I'm assuming you helped someone on them? I don't have a wing man to help me on these so I'm sure this will be a lot of fun by myself on this

Yes I helped Strizzy, the instructions could be better but you got this, just takes a lot of time

I've got confidence as well. If I can take out my rear carrier and put it all back together then I should be able to do this. Thanks to BONDSY he is going to let me buy from him his shocks and front 4.5" coils from him. So I'll be riding 4.5" instead of the 3.5" I'm riding now. Front and rear adjustment going down

If you don't have clearance issues, why are you lifting it more? I believe Rubicat isn't any taller than you are now, it seems to do ok.

Rears are easier just more cutting, the front passenger was a pita cutting under the battery sucked doing it in stages like you are will be easier :thumb:

Also I have the color instructions Strizzy sent me via email he or I can forward them to you if you need

I plan to lift it to 4 - 4.5" of lift. The coils that I'm buying are a 1.5" taller or so. What I really need to do is measure my ride height and see what I exactly have.......The big question would be trying to find how to do that

Do you have the color PDF of the rear installs?

No but if you have that link

The front is a next year project.....:broke:

No worries. I could PM you my email if Aspenkid doesn't have it on file. I do appreciate the assistance :drinks:

Let me know if they go up for auction ;)

Thank you for the moral support Chris  It's looking like I'll be asking my wife for some additional help at this point for the CO install. 2 hours for the rear installation..........Does the instructions explain well on how to set the ride height and the spring rate?

I left the rears completely open/loose and its still too high for my liking in the back while nothing is loaded in the back. I have the fronts set at ~1.75" from collar to the top(I'll post better pics when I wake up).

It is the tool used to adjust the collar on the coils which adjusts ride height. Be sure to get one made for kings because I think other brands use a different type. If there isn't a thread here you can find a video on YouTube on adjusting king coilovers.

I didnt have a spanner, so i took load off the coilovers and used a philips screw driver that fit the hole and use that to turn it.

A screwdriver is all well and good if you plan to set it and forget it such as a trailer queen but his rig is similar to mine with weights that change and maybe even some towing. All you will do in the long run by using the improper tool for the job is damage the collars. Get the proper tool and do it right the first time.

BTW, nice bio. Planning on hanging around a while, perhaps you could post an introduction so we know a little more about you than N/A's. Welcome to Wayalife👍

I'll for sure search the internet and Youtube for more clearification.

I appreciate the recommendation but Lee is right about using the proper tool. I'd hate to improperly use a tool and cause more damage for myself.

I'd have to agree with you Lee about using the proper tool.
