Jeep dogs!!!

This is my dog Siri, which is the dumbest name on the planet for a dog when you own Apple products. It’s the name she had when we adopted her. I have to call her Alexa and Google Earth so my phone doesn’t yell at me when I talk trash to her haha.

She’s been on every offroad trip I’ve ever been on. She still doesn’t like trails a lot, but loves camping.

I had a Jeep project planned for today, that changed at 6am when I let my dog out.

She was going crazy at the fence; I grabbed my flashlight, opened the back door and everything seemed to happen in the same split second, hit the fence with the light, saw the skunk, it sprayed, and my dog rushed inside followed by me screaming some sounds I cannot describe, chased her back out.

Rest of the day was spent with all windows open, rear door left open screen closed to keep the dog out, luckily it was a cool morning with the wind blowing the right direction.

Had some apple cider vinegar on hand, mixed up a 50/50 solution with water, sprayed the dog down, did an initial spray on the carpet. Put the rest of the cider on the stove and brought it to a low boil.

Waited very impatiently for the stores to open, picked up some Nature's Miracle skunk odor remover for the flooring, added baking soda to the carpets, bathed her outside 2 times with De-Skunk Shampoo and 11 hours later, the odor is gone, the dog is stink free.

Did she learn anything? I doubt it...

I put up motion detection lights facing the fence where I saw it come and go last week, read that's supposed to deter them.

Now to get the neighbors to stop feeding the fucking cats that are attracting the skunks 🤬 🤬 🤬

And WTF were the sounds coming out of my mouth?? I'm sure the neighbors heard me.

Sadly, doggos are one of the few animals that never learn to leave skunks alone
