How to tighten down battery terminal connection?

Thank you for letting me know. I saw those over and over again in my searching and was concerned on the quick connect aspect...seems like it may be cheap, but good to know it's holding up good. I suppose the fact you can always spin them again to tighten them more as long as the threads don't wear out is a positive.

I went a slightly diffrerent direction for now, but I may still try that. I'm having to hack up the main vehicle wiring terminal now, which is a bit scary. I bought terminals that are one post and then I'm using the 3 post shim from the original harness - it seems like it's going to work but I won't know until later today after I'm done hacking everything up.

What did you do for your main vehicle terminals - did you cut them? Would love to see a pic.
I hacked up the original connectors, cleaned up the cable ends, and tightened them down in the cable clamp part of the connector; I used lock-tight on those screws.

I would take a picture, but my Jeep is in the shop for a regear and rear locker install. It only took four months for the parts to arrive.

So you did similar to what was done earlier in the thread? That's what I'm doing...just was making sure there wasn't a better way I hadn't thought of. Thanks!

Here's without the rats nest. I trimmed the factory terminals similar to earlier in the thread. These are 3/8 terminals, I might do 5/16 if I was to do it again. I had to ream out several of the terminals for accessories on the ground side.

With everything hooked up. Much more solid than before. The factory terminals blow, especially after time and being taken off many times. Once they wear there is just no tightening them.

I like that buss bar but the wiring... OCD overload!

If I was a 70's shop teacher I'd have to smack up upside the head and ask you if you hug your mother with those hands lol

especially after that work with the rock lights

I'm a big fan of these competition stereo battery terminals. The worst part is buying ring terminals that fit on them.

Can't help the wiring - it's a rats nest from the switchpros and without undoing every connection and redoing it - there's not much you can do.
