Hinrichs build

Is it the same brut4ce that is based in SoCal and is a welder? If so I am hoping this deal went well. I never bash someone too much if in the end they correct the situation. I also have never told anyone this story but here is what happened to me.

I bought a set of used front D44 shafts to use as a set of trail spares from him and I got the run around of "they were shipped", then it would take him a day to get me the tracking number, then wife was sick with pneumonia, then he couldn't find the tracking number.....blah blah blah and in the end it took 5 weeks of them never showing up for me to tell him that clearly they were never shipped and to just give me a refund....then after a week of daily asking if the money was refunded I then finally told him that I need my money within 24 hours or I am getting an attorney. At that point the money was refunded to me.

oh man hopefully it goes well for me. Ill shoot him a text now just incase to see whats up.

I hope it works out well for you. Like I said I never want to bash a vendor or company just to give the benefit of the doubt, but since I know you(well on here) I just wanted to give you a heads-up/warmning to keep on em if there's any sign of problems. Good Luck! :fingerscrossed:

I just spent the day reading your whole build process, in between getting work done. …or maybe getting work done in between reading this thread…. I learned a lot and got way too many ideas. Thanks a ton for sharing! You have a truly stellar looking Jeep! :thumb:

jeep is at my local shop today to finally have the front and rear drive shafts swapped out. I figured I would never get around to it, and his labor is rather cheap so why not have him do it.

Problem occured when they needed to pull the wheels to install my rear upper arms since my locking lug nut socket decided to strip out. So now I have to pay for them to remove them (I would do it but dont want the pinion angle off badly for the drive home) and my dealer never gave me the extra 4 stock lugs so now I have to go find a set. Luckily theres a local dealer on the way to the offroad shop.

Ill post up some pics tonight when I pick her back up.

Get a set of gorilla locks. Way cheaper and better quallity than the mopar onces whoch are really easy to get a pair of channel locks on

Ended up just getting oem normal ones for now, just wish the jeep would have been done today but I think the lug nut thing didn't help at all

Well new driveshafts were installed on monday and got to pick the jeep up yesterday during the snow storm. Didnt have a chance to take any pics but they seem good and no weird vibes or anything. Also had my rear upper control arms installed at the same time. I was happy in the end it only cost me $225 for the install so I was happy with the extra things that added to the time.

Now I need to find a home for the new compressor and get the cage mounted.

well driving home and making some turns felt strange, also had an odd squeak kinda thing over some bumps which stopped after a short time. Is it normal to feel more of the driveline after swapping out the oem shafts?

also thinking it could just be me having new part install worries.

Spent this past week on and off reading every page of this build and it's by far the best build thread I've ever read.. This is my first post but only because I'm just now getting to the last page haha! Great build my friend... inspires me to keep building my 2 door JK! Awesome jeep Hinrich :thumb::rock:

Thanks man

So today I was bored at work, and browsing for a mount for my compressor I found this. I am sure I could have made one, but being winter I don't feel like being outside for a while trying to test different ideas. Should work for what I want. And before anyone asks, I didn't go with the Carolina metal masters one since it only works on my drivers seat and I didn't want to modify it.

That looks a lot like the one that USS.RUBICON just put on his. No reason that shouldn't work.

Underseat mount for the arb showed up today. Going to hopefully get the compressor mounted and ready for the bracket tonight and then maybe install sometime this week. Great install instructions from the guy which made me happy.

Still waiting on the tai lights that were supposedly shipped last week.

tail lights from that brutace guy? looks like he burnt a bunch of people and went awol. hope you get them.

Well underseat mount is cool, but won't work for me yet. Had everything installed and the seat wouldn't fold the rear bar hits the compressor. Spent the last few hours working on this to find out right at the end it doesn't work

I knew that was an issue with the other underwear mount. The JKU seats don't fold the same as the 2 door seats. Shitty that it didn't work though.
