Hinrichs build

No pics yet, but started to paint the cage last night. Went with what I had at work, rustoleum OSHA gloss black which seems more semigloss

Did you test fit it? How about the threads. Do they need to be tapped?

Didn't have a chance to test fit yet which I probably should have waited to do before paint, but I can always touch up the parts. My friend moved my bolts which I am still trying to find and I'll prolly chase all the threads just incase.

Just waiting on your install before I pull the trigger. Just wanted to know of any issues so I can be prepared to tackle them before I do it. Mine is an '07 so I know there's some differences, but shouldn't be that much...or at least I hope.

I looked at Eddie's How-To thread on the install and it just looks too easy, and that's what has me worried. With my luck it won't be as easy.

I'm waiting till after New Years to do my install......I'm going to prefit it and get all the holes drilled.....then send it out to the powder coater (semi gloss black as well)......once it's back from PC I'll clean up the holes, threads and make sure it's good to go and get to it.......I don't think it will be hard at all.....the write-up is pretty straight forward.........pics to follow

for my install the main thing is going to be finding a dry/warm place to install and a friend. May end up going in late to work or a weekend where we have our one new pump shop setup.

If you do it one weekend let me know and I will come help.

We are forecasted to drop down to 50 degrees by sunrise tomorrow morning.......but that will last maybe a day......then back to the mid 80's.......Adam you have the 80's but you also have much better humidity and your nights are much much cooler.......I wish that was the case here.......jealous

Any pics of the light output from your 20" without the cover? Or is the bar amber?
I think i have some, nothing good tho. Its a normal white bar but has amber/yellow tint on the light which I cant take off, well not easily. I feel like the light output could be better, but I am happy with it for the price. It could be how I aimed it or that the stinger may be blocking some of it.

This is the only one I have right now.

So I am trying to decide if I want to do the evo corner skins (would prolly pay for install) or go with the "Rockridge LED conversion kit" http://www.rockridge4wd.com/ROCKRIDGE-4WD-LED-Tail-Light-Conversion-KIT-p/rr-5002.htm which does require cutting. What do you guys think?

$150 bucks isnt bad, you could try the rockridge ones and see if you like them. you could always switch to evo skins down the road. i know guys have put your tire carrier on evo skins, but i'm not sure whats involved. jeep is looking good!:thumb:
