Hinrichs build

I am thinking maybe i need to cut the frame part slightly more. I know its a tight fit and everything is deffinitly tight and it doesnt move or anything, also deff should have said it tilts forward not backward.

Any tips on installing the evo bumper? Mine will be here Friday.

I think I posted a pic before of the best way to keep the washers and nuts on when installing those before, but basically put the nut In the socket and then using tape, tape on the washer to the end of the socket so it doesn't fall off. That's all I can really add other than take your time. If you get the stinger I would not drill the front hole either, well that's mainly due to me not being able to get the bolt in since I think you need to trim a little of the frame or something.

Alright cool thanks man. I bought the stinger. Would the front be able to stand like a role or damage without the front holes?

Install your winch first.

Cut off necessary factory parts.

Place 4 bolts facing the wrong way coming out of your factory bumper horns with the spacers in place.

Install bumper so it is resting on these 4 bolts.

Replace each bolt above with bolts and washers facing the correct way.

Then place the remaining 4 bolts (that you had previously placed the incorrect way) in the remaining 4 holes.

Hopefully that makes sense. Having installed the bumper a couple of times, the above is the easiest way to get it in and hold it while securing it in place.

Good luck! :thumb:

ordering new front shocks today for 3.5-5" of lift, but stuck as to what I should do for the rears. The bilsteins are either for 2" or 4" of lift. Currently I beleive I have the 2" rears and I do have the evo rockstarts waiting for me to install them so should I just wait till after that or do you guys think I should just order the longer rears a while??

well new fronts will be here in 2 days...hope the weather stays nice. Also today ordering rear uppers which I have been pushing off and probably going to also order some new brake lines. Im sure I dont need them yet but thinking why not just do them while I can yet.

Looks like your temp's supposed to be nice until Sunday. Looks like you may even get some white stuff on Sunday as well.

If thats the case I know Ill get the shocks in fast, but all depends on when my UPS guy shows up which has been around 6 or later usually which makes it tough to get anything done.

was "forced" to shave, working with my family sure doesnt help me growing one since I get crap for it daily.

Sucks. In my line of work beards are frowned on too... Still rock it though. People look at me like I have a squirrel on my shoulder.

Rip hinrichs beard.

yeah everyone but my ex, and a few friends loved it. It was not easy to shave thats for sure. Currently doing a "winter beard" just to see how long I can go again.

In jeep related news;

Longer front shocks showed up yesterday so hopefully will be installing tomorrow if the weather is good enough and not wet. Also rear upper control arms will show up monday so I have some stuff to install soon. Also will be ordering a sport cage in the next few days.

Did have a decent ammount of fraud show up on my checking account tho and lost $1400 untill I can dispute and get it back which is a big setback right now.

Holy crap man thats horrible. Hopefully the bank does the right thing.....wait.....noone here was "borrowing" from your Jeep Fund were they? :bleh:
