Hmm thats a tough 1. I like the iconic look and its basically what I had as a kid when there were real bumpers. I've seen it used once at rausch on seanb123 jeep to replace his spring and it worked great but they are a little scary to use.

satelite radio ran out today, well the free subscription at least. Now should I re-new, or upgrade from the crappy stock radio. Wouldnt mind having nav, just not sure if factory would be easier than aftermarket since I do like my stock controls and stuff.

Most after market companies sell modules that will sync your steering wheel cotrols with their aftermarket units.

While this is true you will typically loose features like balance and fade etc. when you put in a new head unit, unless you upgrade your amp or completely redo the entire system. Make sure to ask about that when shopping for new stereo.

We had a not so good experience replacing my wife's head unit in her Mazda with a very nice Alpine (I think it was Alpine) stereo with NAV. The NAV isn't that great even though it had good reviews, and the sound quality isn't very good either. The issues primarily stem from not replacing the amps. Maybe Jeeps are better about this but do your research.

So trying to decide if i want to order the spod, or figure something else out. I would do the rugged ridge pillar mount for switches, but i plan to order a cage soon when i can which I think will interfere. I do like what eddie runs but dont think I have anywhere good to put that one.

What is the one Eddie runs and where does it sit?
