Nice fit. Does it seem like you might catch your pants or shorts leg on the clip or trigger of the fire extinguisher? Your top-looking-down pic looks like the handle could get snagged on clothing maybe? I like the instant access of that spot, just wondering if it'll work for daily living in the seat.

Good question. I'll be using the Jeep a lot in the next week. Let me get back to you then with my thoughts.
 
Ran Hagerman Pass today. Really pretty and climbs just shy of 12,000'. Here are a few pics from it. I'll put together a video once we get back.

The fire extinguisher mount is on my to do list. I usually just throw it in the Jeep when I go out, but I'd like it to be close. Nice work :thumb:

So had it there for a week now and been in the Jeep a lot. I did find myself tapping it with my foot when getting out. Now, most of the problem there lies in 1) I have (had) a gun rack piece mounted there that was getting in the way and 2) I have size 14 feet. So, I've removed the gun rack piece (only needed a few days a year when deer hunting) and I think that'll take care of the problem.

Here is a pic of fire extinguisher, foot, and gun rack piece with door fully open. The gun rack piece is no longer there.

The obvious fix would be to visit a plastic surgeon and have them shrink your foot. I mean, you can't go pulling mods off the Jeep now...

No bueno. Definitely don't want to be accidentally kicking your piece out into open parking lots lol.

Leadville, CO and surrounding trails

Just got back from 5 days in Leadville, CO. It was a great time. Very quaint little town with some good shops. I was also able to try out a few trails for an upcoming trip (http://wayalife.com/showthread.php?38437-Suggestions-for-multi-day-Colorado-itinerary for the various itineraries). Notably, we ran Hagerman Pass, Lily Lake, Slide Lake, a very small portion of Wurts Ditch, and Shrine Pass. Here is the video:

Fluids day for Scout. Found some Oat concentrate from the dealer for $25 a bottle which made me happy.

Diff fluid change

Followed Eddie's writeup at http://wayalife.com/showthread.php?...K-Wrangler-Differential-Fluid-Change-Write-Up to change the fluid in both diffs this afternoon. Very easy to do.

Here's the front draining out. Liquid wasn't that nasty. Rear was worse.

Bought this for $3 at OReilly Auto which greatly helped with the refilling of the front diff.

Rear diff looks like there may be a leak? I check the bolts and they're tight.

Weird thing is that it goes up onto the bracket for those wires. Doesn't seem like that'd be the case if there were a poor seal on the diff cover.

Anybody have an idea? I wiped the whole diff cover clean; I'll check it over the next week to see if anything comes out.
