Going For 35" anything to consider?

I have a 2.5" Teraflex lift that I just put on a week ago. Right now I'm running 33" tires. I'm going to upgrade to 35", I have been warned by a couple people not to put 35". They said it will mess up my axles. I have a 2011 JKU, what are some things I should consider? Will it be okay with 35" and stock gears?

Your stock rear 44 should be fine, you'll definitely want to gusset your front axle, and you'll want to re gear sooner rather than later being you have the 3.8.

A: If you plan on running 35" tires or larger, you really should consider having a set of axle C gussetts installed. These will help prevent the axle C's from bending which is a common problem and one that will result in unwanted camber in your wheels. This is the bare minimum you should do.

It will NOT hurt the axles. Axle C gussets are recommended. Since you have a D30, leave it open, do not put a locker in the front. If you have 3.21 gears, it'll be doggy. If you have 3.73 gears, it'll be doggy, just not as bad. A lot of guys on here running 35s on stock axles, myself included.
 
Cold Air intake

Will a cold air intake help it from being dogged downed by bigger tires? I myself am looking to go with 35"s next year. :thinking:

The only thing that will really help gain the power back would be re-gearing your differentials. Cold air intakes don't typically make a noticeable difference

^^^ this. a CAI sounds nice but really doesnt do anything (trust me i have one). the best thing to do is to do is to regear.
