French owned, Portuguese driven, Stellantis is killing Jeep etc...

Oh, I'm totally with you here. I actually like them a lot and mainly because they are so different. But, I don't think I'd ever really want one. I think I'd take a new electric Hummer over it.
I’m old school and like getting the acoustic hummers. Like MTV Unplugged. 😆

Oh
That has some of my mom’s 1980 AMC Eagle injected into it.

Looks like Stella’s not the only one suffering. So called zero emission vehicles mandated by governments that very few people actually want are killing the whole industry.
But it seems that gas powered car sales are suffering too. The 1st world seems to be in recession.

yep, charge more for ICE vehicles to force a switch to EV's that are under a forced government mandate propped up by taxpayer funds that came crashing down like a junky once that upfront money runs out on something that every single car manufacturer knew before shooting up the government crack handouts.

"... high production costs and slow uptake of electric vehicles on the continent. Sales of VW cars have plummeted in Europe as demand stalls and consumers return to petrol."

Aways amazes me that the so labeled "smartest" CEO's get caught with their pants down every time when the government crack gets handed out.
They do it for the short term and to juice their bonuses with taxpayer funds, every single dollar with interest should be clawed back.

It is interesting that VW is having difficulty selling EVs, given that their recent product introductions seem particularly innovative, and particularly from a styling standpoint. They are sure to be appealing to a percentage of the population, but they are expensive!

The short of the article is Moreno has a five step plan to bring Chrysler back to the U.S. and U.S. ownership.

“Step one, he said, is to end electric vehicle subsidies.”

“Step two, Moreno argued, is working with former Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY)–Trump’s nominee to lead the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)–to eliminate rules and regulations that essentially acted to create an electric vehicle mandate under outgoing President Joe Biden’s administration.”

“Step three is then using the might of the federal government to stop California liberals in Sacramento from dictating emissions standards, which Moreno argues drives up costs of cars.”
