I bought them cause the passenger 2012 side has lots of exposed wiring an connections. Driver side doesn't have anything but use them anyway. I like them, and they are cheap.

A reappearance of a certain disgruntled member, brought this thread to mind. I just purchased these, and it was solely for looks. I cut my fenders. My wife thinks I needed them for protection, though, lol!

There are a few thing on my jeep that are pointless, I just like them. Sometimes we just want to buy something for our toy to show it some love. Not everything has to have a purpose and there is a point where the Jeep is pretty much done and all that's left are the doo-dad items... until someone manufactures a new item that is really cool.
