BTW, F1 already had an electric series a couple of years ago. It was terrible! I don’t know if it’s still in existence as I quit F1 because they went super woke with BLM and the gay movement.

translation - keep giving them millions of taxpayer money to make cars nobody wants.
There's a reason none of them created EV's before the biden "mandate", they knew nobody wanted them and it was unprofitable, especially if they used their own funds to make them.

We need to eliminate the Fed-Gov’s ability to mandate MPG. It sucks that the manufacturers were forced to waste that much $$ on going EV, but we the American Citizen should not be on the hook for their EV expenditures and we definitely should not be punished for bad policies from unconstitutional laws and policies of previous administrations.

I believe Trump will dump the EV mandate and we need to express our displeasure with it to ensure this happens. The Free Market needs to be the sole factor determining what vehicles we can purchase. The technology exists to have clean and efficient gas and diesel engines and manufactures should be allowed to pursue this to the satisfaction of the consumer.

I want a damn 392 Gladiator!! 🤣😂

MPG is very old fashioned! It is the wrong knob for the problem at hand! We are now the petroleum leader of the world! MPG mandates date from the Nixon (or Carter?) administration in order to deal with supply issues caused by OPEC combined with our apparent inability to pump oil out of the ground.

Switching to the number of CO2 units per lifetime mile (cradle to grave) makes more sense given the focus on global warming. Note that this would include CO2 due to mining, materials transportation, manufacture, energy production, energy distribution, actual driving, eventual disposal, and materials recycling. After a bit of thought, I think that this is something all of us will agree with.

The government support for EVs is only including the actual driving.

Without the gov subsidies most vehicles would be out of reach for the average person in the US.
