EV Awesomeness

You mean like Jeep

And, I should note, they're in it for the long haul.
Well Jeep does come to mind but I thought there were some others who re-tooled for EV's. Honestly common sense was showing that the want and sustainability of EV's isn't there. Manufacturers should habe pushed back harder. Glad to see the new administration holding up there end of the deal.

I doubt the manufacturers will simply stop and retool for ICE vehicles… the EV mandate is only a hiatus for 4 years. I assume they expect dems to return to power after Trump’s term and then they have to start producing more EV crap.

If Trump gets this country back on trac in the next 4 years and people currently on the left wake up.. I believe we will get at least another 4 with Vance or someone else. If Dems successfully derail him and magically get their shit together… you might be right… but I doubt it. They are a f’n trainwreck right now.

The problem is that manufacturers have to plan and tool 10 years ahead at bare minimum. That means, they have to hedge their bets on what the future will be like. Up until now, it's been green shit for the foreseeable future. Congress has to pass laws to permanently change the direction we're heading in order to convince auto makers to change their tune.

One hundred percent! We need a longer term solution

Auto manufacturers have really been fucked over by the Fed-Gov with the EV mandates, CAFE Standards, excessive emissions standards and all the rest of the market disruptions.

The current Fed-Gov diesel emissions standards were purposely enacted to drive the diesel off the market. Only through the use of DEF (or the Germans cheating 😂) do we have any passenger diesel vehicles still available. Greenies hate diesels.

Yup, executive orders are temporary. We need the feds to get the fuck out of the business of telling us what we "need" to buy.
