Enforcers Unite!

I'm going to call ORE today and see what they say. If I step down to 3" springs it would reduce the angle more. Maybe the 4" just isn't a good choice without a new front axle.

I don't have much adjustment on my LCA's to reduce caster anyway.

Lots of guys run 4 inch lifts with proper caster and don't have to replace their axle. See what ORE says though. If you can't get the caster any lower with your lower arms, you may have to buy upper arms and make those a little longer. If you haven't already, don't forget to measure the angle of the ground the Jeep is parked on when calculating your actual caster.

EDIT: I just re-read your other posts. Any chance you bent the driveshaft or threw a weight off while you were on the trail? Also ensure the pinion yoke and tcase yoke are properly torqued.

Definitely not bent. No impact and the paint is still new on the whole thing. Where are the weights? I'm new to aftermarket DS. I thought about a balance issue but low % of that since it's brand new.

The torque on the yokes I made sure is correct.

Weights are metal washers just tack welded on the side of the shaft. Easy to spot.

I spoke to Drew at ORE and he said they typically set caster at 5-5.5. This makes absolutely no sense to me since the pinion angle would be even worse at .5-1.

I guess all I can do is reduce caster a bit and see if that gets rid of it. If not I'll try to get over to JE Reel and have then check the balance. If balance is fine then maybe I'll switch to 3" springs. Ugh

Maybe I'm being paranoid because I felt the vibration on the ride home from work with the driveshaft out. Maybe the tire vibration is resonating and it was there since I put the tires on. I'll put the shaft back in tomorrow and see if it's any worse.

Stupid question...In order to assembly the front lower control arms, should the jk lifted from the ground or can I replace them also with the veichle on the ground?

I wouldn't try to do it with the vehicle on the ground. I had the Jeep on jack stands and the axle on another set. Then I had to use a floor jack to raise and lower the axle to get the holes lined up so the bolts would go through.

The first side will likely be easier than the second side you do.

Ok, that's clear . Thanks!

I just placed an order for the 4" enforcer kit & draglink flip. I have a set of ATX chamber pro IIs sitting in the garage. Next step is to order a set of 37" STT Pros. The build will be progressing soon!

How many of you are replacing driveshafts with your lifts? I will be ordering the 4" soon, and am not sure how long I can make the stock ones last. It doesn't seem like many people are doing the drive shafts right away.

I did mine right away. Unless you install exhaust spacers the DS will hit at full droop.

Depends on things like if and how you wheel it and how/where you drive. But regardless eventually you will need one. That being said I think it's worth it to replace the front right off the bat. I went with Adams 1350

Did you solve this issue?
