Oh thanks! Very kind of you to offer. It's all good. It's the price you have to pay to play the game sometimes.Bummer. If you lived any closer, I may have a used spare of some make in my garage that I might have been able to help you out with.
Not sure. Aired up in Big Bear to 30psi and looked all tires over when airing up. Didn't see anything that threw a red flag. So hit the road. About 605 and 105 was in the lane next to HOV and started pulling to driver. Didn't notice running over anything and haven't looked the tire over anymore either. But did that before I could get over to the shoulder and stop.

You would know how much fun we were having! You were right behind me. Haha!Sounds like you were having too much fun at big bear.
Seriously though, glad you and your son are safe
That seems like more than just running over something on the road. You sure your pressure gauge is working properly? I run that exact same tire, so I'd like to know if there's any sort of defect in them. Not much carnage to the jeep per say but here is a 37x13.50r17 Cooper STT Pro with about 5k on it.
Wheeled in Big Bear and looked over each tire as I aired up. Then hit the road. About 60 miles into the drive home on the 605 at 65-70mph, jeep began pulling to the driver. Slowed down and started making my way towards the shoulder and before I got there bam. This was on the drivers front.

Yes sir the gauge is working properly as I checked the other 3 tires and they are at 29-31. The driver front was the 2nd tire on the air up. It looks much worse than it should have been as I couldnt get to the shoulder very quick due to traffic and I'm sure that added to the damage. That seems like more than just running over something on the road. I wish I could have bought from Discount tire. But when I was ready to buy they did not have 37x13.50r17 at all. So I bought them online from TireCrawler.Holy crap... glad you guys are ok....and even though its more money...this is why I put road hazard on mine. As far as I know and as far as what I have done... Discount Tire will warranty the tires even if you didn't buy them from them. As long as they're in new enough condition and I believe it's even prorated after that. They cover down to 3/32 of tread.

Oh ok..... Well that does happen but like I was saying... You should check with Discount Tire because I think even though you did not buy the tires there, you can still buy the warranty for the tires. At least that's what I did on my mud Grapplers. They had about 50 miles on them and I bought them off of Craigslist and cost me about 96 bucks a tire for 40 inch mud Grapplers. I'm buying a set of BFG km2 mud terrains from one of the guys on the Forum here and I'm going to them to purchase the road hazard warranty as well.I wish I could have bought from Discount tire. Not to bad but my most common trail damage. Lesson learned , always watch where you're going. [emoji23]instead of staring in amazement at an obstacle. [emoji136]*View attachment 284954

I feel like I go through 1 per trip. I should probably relocate it*

Yep..... Unless I'm getting some sort of a special treatment it should be just fine since you only have five thousand miles on them. Probably won't work on the one that you destroyed though LOLWow! Didnt know that. I'll have to check into that. I have about 5k on them now

Rancho makes a very easy and simple relocation kit.

Thanks! It's good to hear that you and your boy are okay...catastrophic front tire failure at highway speeds don't always end well...
Speaking of tire failure, these words were muttered by the captain of my flt to San Francisco from HI recently..."don't be alarmed to see fire trucks escort us to the terminal after landing...we have a low tire pressure warning, and they are there only if we have an unfavorable outcome "...he said this while we were 40 mins out...alcohol consumption increased dramically right afterwards...
