Build of my JKU

Appreciate the compliments everyone.

Two questions.

I been looking at the slant back soft tops so what are some good brands I should look at?

Do the Evo high clearance long arms have more clearance over Synergy or are they similar in design?

I have the bestop trektop glide (no zippers) . It's been okay but I kind of wish I had gotten the normal trektop or the one that Eddie just put on Moby (rugged ridge I think?). I still wanted the ability to put the top down easily. The glide works for that, but the frame sticks a few inches above the roll bars. I'm afraid of leaning it against something and bending the softop frame. I'll probably end up putting a safari top on it when we head to Utah or sell this one cheap and buy something different.

The evo high clearance brackets are parallel with the frame. There are a ton of pics in the thread about rubicat getting evo'd up....https://wayalife.com/showthread.php/607-RubiCAT-Gettin-EVO-d-UP.

Not sure about the synergy brackets, but if it's the ones that they say are "high clearance" but 100% bolt on, they look like they are basically like the evo double d brackets. Maybe they call it high clearance because the arms are bent??

I just have the bestop NX, not the glide. I run it mostly as a safari top and it’s great. No flapping because it has a built in tensioning system. The back windows only go in for rain or 100+ degrees in Moab [emoji6]

I also have the Glide. Bought it when they first came out, had problems with the rear window pulling out of it's channel when the weather was warm. They sent me a new back window to include a small tube (the fix). No problems since. I like it but I think the standard NX probably looks better. Not sure if they rectified the rear window issue. Never had a zipper version windows. I would think you would be able roll it up for storage. Glide can't be rolled up.

I bought the Supertop NX in twill. The twill is a really nice, heavy duty fabric. The slant back style is really nice, but I'm partial to the classic top look.

I was amazed at the difference too. Compared to the Coopers, which are miserable to mount, the Nittos are almost fun.

I want to get nittos again and one of the reasons is of how much easier they were than the coopers. Plus I miss the mud grapplers lol

What, no Milestars? Hey - there's an idea - you and the missus need to start an offroad Youtube channel! Free axles, free tires....:brows:

Holler when you need that life preserver thrown in!
I did this as well. I don't remember Dynatrac recommending it but I think it really comes in handy when you're in 4LO on the edge of something trying to hold it back.
Ahhh, yup. Never a good feeling she she won’t hold

I'm not sure if it's the rim or not but mounting my coops on my raceline monsters weren't too bad. I mean I did need to use a C-clamp on the ring to get the 1st bolts to catch but other than that not much more difficult than my old KM2's. With 32 bolts per wheel it was lots of round and round with the torque wrench...haha

I've mounted a set of 37" Coopers and Nitto TG's on my set of Chamber Pro's and it was night and day difference. The Coops were downright miserable and the Nittos' were an absolute breeze.
I have to say mounting the 40" Coops on Trailready wheels was fairly easy though. I was prepared for a fight but they were not as easy as mounting the TG's, but close. It could be the 37's being
E sidewalls are the difference. The 40's are C.

Holly Fook is that tire heavy. Good news is the modifications I made to carrier worked out perfect. I can actually close the rear with one finger now. Have about 2 inchs of clearance between the tail gate and the t-handle.20210305_095008.jpg20210305_095032.jpg20210305_095107.jpg
