Out of curiosity, how many days total did you do you Rubicon trip? I'm from WA as well, was wondering how many commuting days and trail days would be good to shoot for

I know you weren’t asking me but I drove down from Portland in 2 days (stopping in Medford) and spent 2-1/2 days (3 nights including a night at the trail head) on the trail. I was able to make it half-way back the same day we got off and then home the following. So, 6 days total but you could do it in less. You could easily do the trail in 2 days, only staying 2 nights including the first night at the trail head. And, you could drive down in 1 day and back in a day but that would be pushing it and a lot of driving.

Good to know, thanks! Yeah, that’s about what I was thinking. We are trying to plan something but it is alonger trip than I or the girlfriend have done so trying to get all my ducks in a row!

Back on track, baboozle, making any trips on the east side anytime soon?

Sorry for the late reply. First day we made it to Reno. Stayed the night there and drove around to Loon Lake the next day and camped there. We did the trail faster than expected which was about a day and a half. 1st day was from Loon Lake to Buck Island. Finished up the next day before noon. Left the trail and drove from Lake Tahoe to Medford, Or. Got there around midnight and finished up the next day. Whole trip was 5 days but it could be cut down some.

I’m always going on some sort of trip. Usually once a month. Where in WA are you?

Right on, under a week seems doable. I just moved to Walla Walla, but work in Wenatchee part time. I always sneak trips to Manastash area and whatnot usually solo but have buddies from the westside that join me from time to time.

I love the Manastash area. I’m originally from Moses Lake but currently live in Port Orchard.

I haven’t updated this in awhile. Been pretty busy with work but I still find time to go into 4wd. Here’s a few pictures from some trips this fall and winter.

I’ve lacked in my thread updates over the last 4 months or so but a lot has happened. Work has been extremely busy and major things are happening with the Jeep. Here’s a few pictures from the last couple trips before the Jeep went under construction.

So over the last few months I’ve been 1 ton swapping my Jeep and stepping up to 40s. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a couple years now and I decided to pull the trigger. I’m about 95% complete but I’ll start posting now because it’s going to take awhile. At the end I’ll post my final price and opinion.
