Ace Fenders

You again with the lame ass corner scratch trying to pass that on as proof as to how awesome your tube fenders are? Try taking a solid hit to the center of the fender and then come back to tell me how they do no body damage. Seriously, guys like you just amaze me :naw:

Isn't there proof of a tube fender caving in the quarter panel on one of the rigs on the first JKX wild west video:rolleyes:

Lame ass corner scratch maybe but as you can see buy the other damage by the same rock they held up better and no damaged sheet metal behind them. Show me damage caused by properly installed ps fenders.

What did you hit to cause the damage? I have yet to see any damages in person or pictures.

Personally I can't see how, without adding a heavy weight steel fender behind the outer fender that it wouldn't do damage during an accident. But I've seen stranger things in car accidents. I wasn't there for the one I posted... but I suppose no one else here was either.

I may not have as much trail experience as some other folks here... So I'm sure there are people that know more about gear than I. That said I don't make a habit of treating people like a-holes unless they have proven to be one and have earned the title.

Its sad really the hostility people bring to forums. I was a moderator on S2KI for about 7/8 years... having been a part of that forum for about 13 years... when forums were still a new thing. Now-a-days forums just aren't the same. To grow a forum you need people... but really what you need to good helpful people... people that are willing to help each other. Wranglers owners have that by the nature of just owning a Jeep Wrangler. Forums just allow them to continue their Jeep habit/hobby online.

I guess I'll see you guys around... :rolleyes2:

You were a moderator for 7/8 years and your still this much of a pussy? Yikes.

Nobody was hostile toward you. You were just getting worked up over nothing.

Since you seemed to have missed it, I run trimmed factory flares and so I don't have any body damage from all the hits I've taken. If you want to see what I've hit, try watching some of our videos or look through my trail run recaps.

As far as damage goes, the worst I have seen was of the Mastercraft JK on the 2012 JK-Experience. It was running Poison Spyder fenders and took a solid hit on rock and on the center of the fender - it totally jacked up the body. Unfortunately, I was asked not to take pics of this and so I obliged. Of course, you just have my word and so you can choose not to believe it. Of course, just last summer, one of the guys on our Rubicon run hit a tree with his Poison Spyder fender just before the little sluice and again, it did body damage. Unfortunately, I was out spotting the rig in front of it and was not able to grab a pic. However, there were plenty of people on that run who are also on this forum and maybe one of them got a pic of it.

I will say that it is funny how you would really think that I would need or even care to make any of this up. :naw:

Hey Adam, did you happen to get a pic of that silver JK that hit the tree near at the entrance of the Little Sluice?

In his defense the tree kind of just jumped out in front of the jeep😜

Eddie, i think they were asking piginajeep what he hit with his...:thumb:

I took a snow bank into my passenger front OEM plastic fender. Totally bent the quarter panel. I can only imagine how much worse it would have been had I had steel flares like the ACE on there.

I was thinking about the same thing...actually went to the computer and looked...but couldn't find it. :naw:

Well then, you clearly didn't see anything and you must be making all this up and for nefarious reason.

No I did not. Or the green jeep that took body damage from the body mounted rocker knockers.

Oh, I might have a shot of that somewhere. I'll have to go look. Chris was pretty pissed about that and was wanting to get rid of them in place of real rocker protection.

Dang I wish I had some ACE flares. This is what my salvage build looked like after a 30 mph side impact.

Would have saved me a lot of work...

Sorry I couldn't resist.

I'm sure all would have been well if you would had just attached those cold-war-proof fenders on there!

No one was being rude/mean/malicious to anyone. If your definition of being a good and helpful forum is to allow anyone to make any outlandish claim about a part's capabilities without any need to abide by the laws of physics(energy transfer in this case), then your right... we are all mean and unhelpful assholes!
