Abandoned Everglade Rocket Complex

Ed, I would love to join this trip but I will be out of town that weekend. Hope to catch up for another time. Looking for another great video from the trip.

Wish you could make it Nobu . I could just imagine how you and your wife would go across that span a water. wide open!

I'll be making the trek down south, just need a meet up address and time so I can start planning my route.

Sweet, I'll be there. I'll be sure to charge up the Gopro batteries and this time I should have the other A-pillar mount done if some else wants to run one.

Sweet. We have a few NIKE missile sites here in CT. nothing with tours though.... One near me is now a sub development. When I was a kid we would dirt bike up there, memories! Thanks!!

There is one in my town with the same situation. They knocked it down and built a neighborhood. You can still walk down a trail about a half mile into the woods and see what's left of the launch site though. Really it's just some concrete though. The missile magazines have been flooded and covered with concrete. It's still interesting to look at. Here's a site that someone made. I actually found this through Google a year or two ago:

Thanks man. I'll check that out

Okay guys with much regret I have to say that we're not going to be able to go to the rocket complex. The powers-that-be say they are patrolling out there now and anybody caught with vehicles on that site will be arrested on site that being said we're going to have to cancel and we're thinking of making the alternative wheeling location: lazy Springs. From what I've heard there are obstacles and some trails out there that would be fun to do and for the West Coast folks it will be much closer as well as the people coming from the north
