:spy: As seen on the Florida WOL thread.....27 Jan We are planning on heading out to a cold war rocket complex that was abandoned out in the glades. A short distance away is a preserved cold war nuke missile site that I will try to set up a tour though the same afternoon. The Tour is the HM69 Nike Missile Site. Look it up on google earth. If you scan east of that site you will see the abandoned site we plan to explore. If anyone can free up the day Please join us for and interesting trip back in time.

Anyone else from the west coast?

Our rally point will be very close to the ally I hope you can find some other guys by you to follow you over. I'm planning on grilling some burgers or chicken for us all so don't worry bout food. Once we have a head count I'll post up the menu.

Mr.Ed.......call or text me whenever you get a chance......I upgraded my phone and Verizon for whatever reason wasn't able to transfer all my contacts over.......your contact information was lost and now is in Verizon's Black Hole.

I work on Sunday so I'll be coming from my station in Coral Springs straight there on Monday AM......Ed and I thought about what would be a good rally point and tossed around a few places........US 27 & Krome Ave.........Krome Ave & US 41 (Tamiami Trail) aka "Four Corners".........Lex LMK if those are good with you and which one is more convenient logistically........Jeep med if you're coming from Port Charlotte you can take I-75 across and then head south on US 27 to Krome Ave........seems like the most efficient route coming from the west coast......LMK........I'm going to call and see if I can set up a tour with the U.S. Park Service.......

Counting the days! I have been searching for abandoned places to run out to and the history about them. Being such a flat state and newly developed compared to the rest of our country it's all we can do in south Florida. So between vacation trips you'll see videos from us from our area that are outa the way and abandoned. :thankyou:

Woody!!!

US 27 & Krome is the closest to me, but Four Corners sounds fine to me as well...

Just let me know a time and I'll be there... Either location to meet works for me...

Ok we have 4 Jeeps how many people? Going to put together the grill and food. Planning on chicken sandwiches and chips or potato salad maybe baked beans. Any special requests?
