2019 Drummond Island July 31, 2019 - August 4, 2019

Damn, you guys are getting the badge fast! I was up the week before and haven't received it yet. By the way, were the flies still insane at Marble Head when you were there? As soon as we got out of the Jeep there were about a dozen landed on your skin and chowing down! That was even with 40% deet on. Needless to say I didn't get many pics. Would love to join up with you guys next year.
 
Flies weren't that bad, fortunately. Mosquitoes got irritating at night. We could have had it way worse in the insect dept.

Like the guys said August really isn’t that bad for bugs. Just Dusty. I still always wear pants anyway. The flies seem to stay low and go after your ankles. You should definitely make one of the runs! They are a blast!

Looks like it was a blast! Maybe next year for me, although currently in the stages of planning a Moab/Terruride trip for next August
 
Bill better be heading west! I volunteered him to organize. Lol. People are planning. People are building. Time to go!
 
It’s going to happen... heather and I started looking at dates. I’ll get a post up soon, the biggest question is how long everyone can escape for. It’s really a minimum of 10 days just to hit Moab and Telluride and at that point we think we are just going to do two weeks and see Arches NP and RMNP while we are there. I’ll try to getting a thread going soon so we can all discuss
