2013 Billet JKUR SLOOOOW Build

Well, the clean up effort has been under way for several weeks following the flop.

Got the front bumper chopped. Temporary until I can pull the trigger on the full metal fab works stubby.

Cut the flares and added a 3/4" LED to replace the side marker light.

Removed the rear bumper, trimmed the frame rails, and installed Evo D Ring tabs.

Moved most of my rock lights and installed two 3" cube pods to the rear crossmember to replace the flush mount pods I had in the bumper. Also relocated the license plate to the spare with the Rock Hard bracket and ORO Liteplate.

And yesterday... Mounted up some 37" Cooper STT Pros!!

And then this

Slave cylinder went out yesterday. It's covered under the extended warranty and they'll pay for the tow and the rental. Barely got to drive it with the new tires! [emoji35]

Got the Jeep back this morning. All fixed up! All I've really got left to do after the last round of mods is put some washers on the steering stops, flex test to see what additional trimming or bump stop I might need, paint the wheel wells, wire brush and touch up the rock sliders, and re-mount my front rock lights. I've found the 4.10 and 37s to be quite manageable thus far. Especially after feeling just how doggy the Altitude Edition with 3.21s was that I had for a rental.

Manageable, yes. (Granted I had 3.73s on a lighter 2dr) But when I went to 4.88s on 37s, it's unbelievable how much better it is.

Took the Jeep down to the shop to see what needed to be trimmed. We opted to trim more of the body in the rear than flip the bump stop from 2" to 3".

Got the spare relocation bracket mounted up. Thanks to crowrb29 for that!

With the addition of the relocation bracket, I needed to extend my isolators. The coupling I saw on another post worked great!

Still had more movement in the spare than when it was just on the stock bracket so I added these caps to give it a little more length.

Unfortunately, it's still got more movement than it did when I had it just on the stock carrier alone. Anyone have ideas for shoring it up any more? It's sucked down tight on the isolators.

Still had some rubbing when turning so I added more washers to the steer stops.
ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1449326710.071004.jpg

Turns out I needed to add more on the right because when I installed my lift, I didn't move the trackbar bracket or get a longer trackbar so the axle is shifted a bit to the left.

Was rubbing on the frame a bit.

All better now though!

The ride is looking good man! I am guessing the length of the isolators is contributing to them being over flexible. Maybe some thick rubber tubing inside of them to help stiffen them up a bit? Side note, I have the stock 3.21's in my JKU and will be getting new wheels/tires soon. Guess I will be sticking with 33s(ish) cause I hear 35s would be too much. Any experience with 35s and 3.21s?
