Just saw the other post. You prob do have crap still in the tubes that you will need to clean out.
Ill see if someone has a better idea but honestly if it was me in that position, id strongly consider pulling the axles to make sure all the contaminates are cleaned out. Hopefully someone chimes in with a better planAssuming there's no way to do that without tearing the axle apart?

make sure any old gasket is off the surfaces before you apply rtv.
at this point, you may need to do a couple more gear oil changes... clean it out best you can, seal it up and put the oil in, drive it around for a bit to get that oil warm and mixed with the existing batter...
then do the process all over again until you get only oil draining out.
if you can't get it all out you will need to pull the axle shafts - or just go ahead and pull them now

Can you leave the diff cover off and jack up each side individually to try to get anything left in the axle tubes to flow to the diff?

you could but there will still be a film left behind so additional changes will need to be done.
The hot oil will help break down that film, that's why the additional changes
