ZERO TOPAZ

Nice to see you guys made it there, glad everything is still standing, and your 42s really make the snow look not very deep lol.
LOL - the snow was packed enough to allow the 42s to float on top of most of it. However, we could see deer postholing deep into it. Even us walking though it took us much deeper.

Haven't been out to the ranch since the big snow storm after New Year and so we decided to check things out today. The drive out across Carson Valley was gorgeous.

Unfortunately, being that we're not living at the ranch, the local snow plow guy figured it'd be okay to pile up all the snow in front of our gate.

Needless to say, I had dig out just to get in. Fortunately, I had a feeling this might happen and so I came prepared.

After a lot of work, we finally got in.

Fortunately, we made sure to bring a Jeep with a lot of clearance. Even though it's been melting, the snow was still pretty deep and the drifts even deeper.

Taking it slow, we were able to creep our way out to the stable and arena.

Took a lot of work to posthole our way around in knee deep snow but we just had to see how things were holding up.

I think next time, I need to bring my snowboard
Beautiful!

LOL the pile of snow was a lot bigger than it looks. We may have been able to get over it but it would have been embarrassing as hell to have gotten high centered on it 😁
calling a friend, "we're turtled on the snow bank, Pippi? no, ummm... don't ask questions, just come help us!"

love how a blanket of snow changes the scenery.
