Your Jeep OCD Tendencies!

My Jeep being dirty doesn't bother me but I MUST line up my gas cap so that the raised part is straight up and down. I have stopped and pulled over to check to make sure it is oriented that way.
EVERY screw in all of the electrical outlets & switch plates in my house have to be that way too. When I got my deck installed and I sat down & saw all of the screws didn't line up I almost passed out.........

I'm no Doctor, but that IS OCD.

LOL, funny thing is that I'm not that way with other things. I thought I was the only one with that quirk until I talked to my neighbor and we got into an argument because his screws are all horizontal instead of vertical

Eww! When all the screws in the house are horizontal, they collect grunge. Yuck!! Must be vertical, all of them!

Too funny!

I just remembered a couple more OCD tendencies where I must tighten the gas cap until it clicks 3 times and the oil fill cap and dip stick must show the writing facing up.

Great thread Nate. I wanted to wait for it to build before posting. Now seems like a good time.

things that drive me nuts:

when my 80lb GSD is in the back (back back, not the back seat) and insists on putting her paws up on the center of the back seat and climbing up. If I wanted her in the back seat, I would have put the cover on the seat...

Is the damn steering wheel straight? ah, yeah, its perfect... wait... no its off, needs to come left... no its fine... wait, needs to come right.... no its fine... -> repeat FOREVER

post wheeling scratches on the undercarriage HAVE to be wire brushed and rattle canned ASAP!

Tire rotation every 3k miles. EVERY 3K. (its 50 miles before 3k, and were headed out on 100 mile road trip, better grab the impact, because were stopping in the middle of the drive to rotate the tires. but I change the oil every 5k with +/- time for convenience)

The 2 white spots on my passenger side front fender, from bumping a tree back when the jeep was stock, and trying to "fix/lessen" the creases in the fender with a heat gun... now its white from the sun. and its just 2 quarter size dots. :grayno:

It drives me nuts the that LOD carrier doesn't have an O-ring in the hinge. it weeps grease onto the bumper :naw:

Driving down the highway the trail rack just barely bumps the CB antenna and it makes and nice, loud "dong" sound over highway bumps... "dong dong dong... dong dong... dong... dong dong dong dong... dong.... dong dong" I'll change the setup... again... for the THRID time  :banghead:

That part would bug the crap out of me!

A new one since throwing the new wheels/tires on:

Is the Jeep pulling left.. is it pulling right... is it pulling at all?!??!??

Hah![emoji23]

1. When someone touches, or worse, when they lean or rest with their elbows on my hood.

2. When someone touches or when they slide their hands on my Jeep while they are wearing rings.

3.When someone gets in I check to make sure they don't have a pen or pencil in their back pocket to avoid puncturing my leather seats.

4. When someone parks too close and I cannot fully open my door.

5. I avoid driving behind those dam gravel trucks on the freeway. Sometimes I get stuck and have no choice but to hear those rocks hitting my jeep.

Many, many, more OCD tendencies. Impossible to name them all, LOL!!

Female passengers who thinks that the center console are made to be crawled on and over usually causing it to loosen or breaking it. I swear it's a good thing I don't own a damn taser, because I swear I would taser them every damn time they did that.

Tasering your other half will hurt you more in the long run [emoji15]

I can't stand when people touch my windows to knock on them to get my attention after I have cleaned them. Bugs the crap out of me! A lot of gravel trucks out here in Cali. Can't escape them. Lost my windshield on my very first Jeep after 1 month of ownership. I love leather seats and still kicking around an upholstery kit but can't stand the thought of someone with a pen in their pocket or that person who still has a chain connected to their wallet.

Found another one..

This falls into the cleaning aspect. Whenever your filling up with gasoline, and the pump doesn't stop and gets fuel all over your fender and paint.

I scrubbed my fender with the windshield cleaner brush... haha! and then 303 when I got home!

I'm ocd about my tires. Have had my mtr's for almost a year now. Pain in the butt to keep balanced, road manners are touchy due to tread design and I'm looking to upgrade a size up. Looking at the new ko2's
