Not to mention, even if you find the projectile, chances are probably slim that it would connect to anything. Unless of course it was already used in a crime.
 
Believe me when I say I highly doubt the police department will spend thousands of dollars on crime scene investigation for a vandalism.
 
If he had full coverage insurance, he should have contacted them after the first vandals, and then they could have used there resources to recover it, people respond to money and knowing exactly where there check is coming from.
Seeing my wife is an insurance adjuster, I would say that this has not been handled in a good way, as the owners first responsibility is to prevent further damage, it will probably be covered but i would never personally admit this series of events in public.
 
It sucks that the thief's have a more capable rig than this modded JK, and can keep coming back through this trail every night without getting stuck.
If they are ever caught your brother needs to use the insurance money to buy a rig like theirs.
 
Ive been wheeling muddy creek banks and river bottoms my whole life. I find it hard to believe that NOBODY he knows could come get him out withour sinking it worse than it already was... he wasnt even stuck that bad. if this is all true, then that truely sucks, but i woulda handcuffed myself to a nice jk before i left it in the sticks over night

Don't forget, according to his story the Jeep had a broken sector shaft. This makes it nearly impossible to steer. Using a strap to tow it would have been very difficult.

^^^ this! Im not saying this story isnt true, but i am saying its hard to make all the numbers add up.

If you can't steer it, you can't move it. No matter how built up your rig is. Unless the sector shaft break story is false.

Could always pull it backwards right?

I've repossessed lots of cars from a rear lift with the front wagging around until I got clear and safe from the pick site.

Granted it might not have been easy to get it spun around...
