Winter camping heating options

I have heard that using a cot is a good idea because a lot of the cold comes from the ground. So Themarest on top of a cot. And then sharing the sleeping bag for extra heat!

Have a good insulation under you in the cot. Because you will be wrapped in cold air.

I’m using my RTT so it already has a mattress that does pretty good at keeping the heat out but mainly looking for a good sleeping bag for the top. Good thing is the tent does have some insulation but still I could imagine it getting cold in winter conditions.

They sell quilted insulation liners for most RTTs

Good idea if I was trying to survive when lost. Keeps me warm then I can drink it in the morning to hydrate.

I don’t think mine has one since it’s a knock off but I’ll look around at some other brands and see if they fit my RTT. Thanks for the recommendation!
