Windrock Park - TN - January 24-25

Yea I'm with you guys. I think it would be easier on everyone if we all stayed in one place. It would make meeting up to ride easier

I'm going to be calling these tomorrow.
Comfort Inn - gives park discounts
Hampton Inn - gives park discounts
Doubletree

The Hampton and Comfort offer a free hot breakfast but the Doubletree charges. Its not much but when you have a family it adds up quick.

BTW, what day will everyone be getting there? Friday night?

There's only a few things in this world that I love.... thats my Jeep, my mom, free breakfast and discounts...in that order lol

We will be up friday whenever everyone else will be there. Only about 2.25 away hrs so not bad. what co-drivers/ family is everyone bringing?

I was talking to my Uncle at a family party yesterday. He says he lives 15-20 minutes from Windrock and has always been curious what goes on there seeing all the 4 wheel drives leaving. Could he have been showing his interest in being a co-driver? He said I was welcome to stay with them at any time I was coming through...

Just got off the phone with a couple of the hotels. I believe Comfort Inn is going to be our best bet as it allows us to purchase the land use permits and maps from them.

Comfort Inn - $80 per night for double beds, $75 per night for king
Hampton Inn - $99 per night for double beds

Thoughts?

Also, do I need to make any adjustments to the Going/Maybe list?

So does this mean you're coming with us!?

It sounds like a great adventure. I did miss the Rousch Creek Newbie run and havent done any trails yet. Only the dunes and some ungroomed seasonal roads. I wouldnt want to slow up the group. It looks like a few of the trails would be doable, though.

The Comfort Inn is fine with me. Trip Advisor reviewers are the harshest and they have pretty good reviews.

Also, put me down as a definite.

It's completely up to you. The majority of us are all in essentially stock Jeeps and we won't be running anything too difficult. Most of us are still learning this anyway, so this is pretty much a newbie run in itself.
