I had a Ripp Stage 2 Supercharger in my ‘08 JKU with the 3.8.
There is zero impact from the supercharger at low throttle or low RPM’s. It won’t have negative effect on 4 wheeling. It doesn’t start noticeably spooling up until 3500ish rpm’s. Substantial boost doesn’t happen until 4500 through to the redline, so you really have to be full throttle to get the benefit of any extra power. The weak point was the transmission. I blew 3rd gear twice before doing a hemi swap.
