Thanks everyone!

Absolutely stellar shots. I have tried this technique a few times and never quite got it right.

Let me know if you need help. I used my Nikon D610 for this. Its for a timelapse, but these are some of my favorite frames i pulled out.

Awesome photos!

What CB mount are you using and do you like it?. Looking to mount my CB in the same spot.

Rugged Ridge mount i believe.

Hiking in the Northern Kettle Moraine. 5.4 miles in the 90 degree heat, yes it even get hot in Wisconsin once and awhile.

Mount Tukuhnikivats

Native for "Where the sun sets last". That is what they tell me anyway. Ran from SLC to Buckhorn wash in the Swell and then through Moab to the top of the La Sals. P1020405.jpgP1020406.jpgP1020420.jpgP1020431.jpg

Nice! I need to get over that way.

You should. Really cool area. I'm sure there are places I need land trust or permits or something. Also, got a visit from this lady while leaving the cemetery.

We decided to road trip it to Lake Tahoe for a family reunion. First leg: Houston to the Grand Canyon. Grand Canyon was amazing. My two boys and I were speechless gazing into it. Second leg was up to Tahoe. We swung by the Hoover Dam and drove my oldest down the Vegas Strip on our way. Finally made it up there and it was awesome driving through the mountains topless and camping in great weather. 43 at night is a little different than the 90 + humidity we are used to. The drive home was pretty brutal, but we had some great Dad / kid time.

Unfortunately we were mostly on pavement (loaded down and on a time crunch), but we plan on heading down to the beach this weekend to throw some sand around.
