Thank you! Believe it or not my 9yr old took this picture on my IPhone. Needles to say he got a raise in his allowance [emoji23]

Lol. I just took the same roads but from the other direction... You're not wrong.Just made a two day trip from Portland to Fresno and back. Must say the California sections of I-5 and 99 are rougher than some forest service roads. Is that the real reason coil-overs exist?
Purpose of the trip was to pick up our newest clan member, Skye.View attachment 350494

Wish I was able to drive my Jeep but ended up flying to Maryland for a memorial service for my wife’s grandfather. It’s been about 2 and a half years since we’ve visited with my in laws. It’s good to visit family
Sorry to hear that, but it good to see family. Safe travels!

Rig took us to Rubicon Trail this past week... El Burro did great save for an issue with the TC cable either breaking or shearing the nylon ball... simple fix once a good trail Samaritan told us what he thought it probably was. Otherwise, following all of the advice on Wayalife was priceless in getting us in and out safely and without major issue.
We’d planned to run Jeepers Jamboree, but Gavin ruined that with his second lockdown following the riot-induced surge of cases in LA and Imperial Counties. So instead, my son invited two of his best buds, we grabbed the dog and packed up Sunday morning from Truckee, CA.
We entered on Loon Lake side, and none of the YouTube videos can prepare you for how amazing the scenery is... Day 1 we camped at Buck Island Lake, simply breathtaking. Day 2 Saw me missing a spotting point and high centering for the first time... Quick tug from a group we were following and all good again. We had lunch at Rubicon Springs, the fellas used the rope swing and swam for a bit. After lunch we did Cadillac Hill... Thank God dad had a bunch of Gatorade’s at lunch. I guided my son, and without anyone in front of us, we went right up, no breaks, didn’t even stop for pics... it’s quite a hike backwards.
Quite amazed at what the Jeep is capable of, but more so with the camaraderie from the people we met on the trail. We’ll be sure to bring more beer next time.
