Where did your Jeep take You this Week?

Went out to Butchers Jones. It has rained here in AZ quite a bit this past week so it was fun to see the trails after the rain and jump in Saguaro Lake!IMG_6139.JPGIMG_6143.JPGIMG_6146.JPGIMG_6141.JPG

You went on Rubicon and fordyce with no rock sliders?

Yeah, not my brightest moment and I beat the shit out of the steps. I had 3 of us on top bending them back down several times on both runs. I’m surprised I hadn’t ripped them off yet. In retrospect, I should have installed sliders before the trip, but was looking for something stout with auto steps built in to help my mom into the Jeep, but didn’t find one. So, that’s next on the list of to do’s and will probably fab my own...

Continued our weekend of History in San Pedro at the USS Iowa & the USS Lane Victory..... stumbled upon some cool Jeeps at the Victory... They had three M151-A1 from the 1967 Vietnam War.... and a CJ3 Fire Jeep from the 1953 Korean War.

Got up to Gallagher lake near Salmon La Sac, not to difficult trail wise but something I’ve done once a summer since I got the Jeep. Has a pretty cool photo spot up top too.

Did you know how deep the water was or were you just guessing and hoping it wasn’t too deep?

Hahaha, yeah, I knew how deep it was. I've been across this stream several times. This was the highest I've seen it though. Shitload of rain this past few weeks.

Edit: Found a pic from a previous crossing during the middle of a dry Summer a couple years ago - quite a contrast!

Much deeper and you would have needed some pool floats and an oar

LOL, any deeper and the picture would be of me going backwards! Really though, this is a pretty slow moving stream even being as high as it was. I wasn't being pushed around at all or I would have backed out waaay before I got that deep. Having said that, that's pretty much as high as I want to be in water. :yup:
