Tried to beat the low desert heat on Sunday 6/3. Trip from Rimrock to Big Bear via 2N02 Burns Canyon and 2N61Y Heartbreak Ridge. Only other vehicles I saw were two dirt bikes. 80F in Big Bear vs 112F in Palm Springs.

Well today was a Half Fail... My intention was to hit a couple small lakes and do some fishing... but yeah, No F’n Water. Lol... Completely Dried up. And the water in the Picture is a reservoir... no fishin... So we did some wheelin at Rowher Flats, had lunch under a shade tree and picked up some trail trash... so still a good day.

Lol. At least it wasn’t a total waste. Same thing happened to me too. The falls at Hidden Falls were all dried up!! It was kind of sad really
 
2wk trip to grand cyn, moab breck, yellowstone, tetons, tahoe, and home. my 09jku 3.8 made it pulling a 12x7 jayco popup w 4 bikes and a kayakon it. I had to swap the drivers exhaust manifold in breck as it was almost in two and my catalytics sound shot...just made it home. ran over 3500 miles and almost have 188k on the 3.8 now. was hitting 10mpgs in the heat and hills. cleared multiple CELs with my scanner daily and did 5 hrs today from bay area without issue. Its still alive!
 
prismatic pools and springs a few miles from Old Faithful in Yellowstone. Summer in Wyoming is georgeous. Worth the gas!!!
