Wheel/ Tire combo

I would assume that 20 inch rims would get chewed up more than 17 inch rims. I would just buy beadlocks to start with if you plan on buying them anyways. Unless you're buying some super cheap rims for now. I had some black rims That I bought a year and a half ago that I just replaced with slabs because the edges were all jagged and beat up. They were cutting into the tire on some parts.

I believe I read on here that the spyderlocks are the same as slabs, with a different ring. There's probably not much price difference between 20 inch rims and 17 inch slabs.

I believe I read that also, but have no experience with the Spyderlocks so can't say for certain. As far as the price difference between 17 and 20" beadlocks, it's around $200 a wheel last time I checked. As far as 20" rims getting chewed up more than 17" rims, I don't think that's the case necessarily. Most contact with the ring happens when you bump up against the rock or other object. Sidewall size will be your biggest factor as I mentioned earlier.

I think I am going to take Da Runt's advice and stick with the 37's since, for now I will be sticking with the D44's. Spyderlock 17" bead locks are about $400/. I'm giving these some serious consideration. Just hoping someone has had some first hand experience with them and willing to chime in. My rig will be driven on road as well, so the integrity of the bead lock is important to me.

....on a separate note: I probably have one of the coolest wives out there. "Babe, it looks like all of these Jeep parts are gonna cost me about $14,000...roughly......Okay baby, whatever you want."

.....Life is great!
