What was done to your rig this week?

Thanks it’s been a long build process but will be well worth the wait to get the old man back in a jeep!


I’m sure you will be right there on the break in run/test and tune lol.

PS... Here is a lil secret... if it’s done before oct.4th we WILL be test and tuning at Windrock!!!!

Installed JK Innovations 4 tire fill kit.

Modified my cabin blower to enable use of replaceable cabin air filters.

Reinforced my track bar brace/PSC mount.

Fixed my loose front bump stop and removed 3/4” of unnecessary bump stop.

Prepped and painted the rockers today, getting them ready for the EVO rockskins..

Painted the wheels and got some new rubbers on. Dismounting was a PITA on the spare. Finally had to give in and find a tire shop to break the inner bead for me.

Changed the spark plugs in my wife’s ‘16 JKU and found some oil I. The upper plenum. What could cause this?

I changed mine a few months back and found a little in my upper plenum as well.

Had new gears installed last Friday, went from 3.21 to 4.56. Mechanic told me I have all the signs of the dreaded oil cooler leak, I wondered why I was low on coolant a couple weeks ago.

On my old ‘12 I replaced the oil cooler, but if I remember correctly that wouldn’t leak oil to the intake but create a leak coming from the top of the transmission bell down towards the bottoms of the Jeep
