Yeah, they did. It made quite a bit of difference with on the road feel now at the proper angle.

Not upside down, just turn them so the adjuster is facing the axle. It is harder to adjust, but the knob will still be there.

I wanted too but thought they were position specific.

I mean rotate the barrel of the shock 180° so the knob is facing the front of your Jeep. It makes it a little tougher to adjust, but if you leave them facing the rear end they'll break off on the rocks. Ask me how I know.

same here, once I upgraded tie rod & drag link flip, I’m running w/o a ss as well
