It’s a 12ft ceiling. It’s just enough to fit. I can get the frame of the jeep to about 6’5” tall. So that’s more then enough.

Just spent the last 1.5 hours removing splined locking wheel studs using an emergency lug remover. Worked slick. A good end to what was otherwise my Greek tragedy of a front end rebuild. No write up ever can take into account New England rust. It was awful. Spindle frozen on, gotbthat off, btw mine is a 35mm, not 36. Caliper bolts frozen. Had to buy a 21mm because I thought, wrongly, I already had one. Then the hub bolts, nothing doing. Going in on Friday.
Having put it back together, I decided to put my new lug nuts on at least, as I hate the Jeep ones with the cap that spins. Nice splined locking nut for each. Got everything together, torqued them all down, and put everything away Saturday. Come Monday I got to wondering where I put the key. It was/is nowhere to be found. Including the spaghetti sauce filled trash bag. So I had to take them off this way, but finally something worked lol.
Hoping they don't tell me Friday the hub is fused to the stub.....

Brake Pads

Changed my rear brake pads today with help from the write-up.

I know most here could do it with there eyes closed but I'm very new to doing my own work. It's a pretty good feeling doing it yourself.

It wasn't done this week, it was done the week before EJS: Replaced the rear leaf springs with a 4-link - coil-over setup. Work was done by Phil at Liberty Mtn Fab. Trailing arms, coils, Radflo by-pass shocks, new fuel tank with torsion bar running through the tank. Worked great. There is a build thread on the LMF Instagram site. If I could figure out how to move the pictures I would post them here, but here's a shot of the side of the jeep.

Out with the old: Steel cable with roller fairlead

In with the new: Synthetic cable with aluminum hawse fairlead.

In addition to the two protective jacket pieces that came with the cable, I added 50 ft of nylon cable protector to it, along with two more short heavier pieces that can slide to where you need them.
Time will tell if the extra protection is worth it or not. It only cost about $8.00, so if it doesn't work out, I'm not out much.
In addition, the old cable was 80 ft, the new is 100, so it may reach more places. An added bonus is the 80 ft I can carry as an extension if needed, and at times in my past wheeling I have needed all I would carry.
I remember having 100 ft of cable out, plus a spare 100 ft coil, two 30 ft straps, about 50 ft of chain, and I could still barely reach solid ground to set an anchor.

Also finally got the seat covers I've badly needed to keep the dog from ruining the upholstery and put em on.

Awesome conversion. No substitute for a good 4 link setup, it probably rides a lot smoother as well.

Replaced steering linkage with Currie Correctlync units and a Rancho 7000 steering stabilizer.

The OEM steering stabilizer was shot by 50K miles. Steering was getting progressively more sensitive to hitting bumps and wobbling. Was beginning to get disconcerting at times. Last time I looked, everything was fine. Changing the oil a couple weeks ago...looked like any other bad shock I've seen.

Figured, if I was likely to need to start replacing ball joints soon, as well, I might as well do tie rod, drag link came for the ride, and stabilizer all at the same time.

Once I took it off, the stabilizer had about a 4" range of movement where there was no resistance whatsoever. Very pleased with the end result.

Next items planned in coming weeks including an ARB fridge and WARN winch. After getting centered, taking Mom wheeling on Mother's Day, I decided the winch was going up a few clicks on the priority list. Nice guy gave us a gentle tug, probably only 150 lb tug. And, with time and the shovel I'd have gotten out of it, but a winch would've certainly been quicker/easier.

Installed today. Have always run w/hardtop. Think I'm going to like this.
