I have the RK arms and they don't put them at the bottom. You chose to put them at top or bottom based on how you leave the joint end during adjustment. I left mine on top as I hit the control arm joint on rocks occasionally and that will easily bust off a zerk, creating an issue.

Oh, I see what you mean. We put the zerks on the bottom of the axle side of the arms. They're kind of angled backwards, so I hope I don't run into an issue breaking them loose. There is a small screw that comes on the bottom of the ball joints as well...is that there so you can remove it, place in a zerk, grease it, then put the screw back in maybe? If so, that could fix that problem?
Also, do you grease the frame side of your LCA's also? I noticed there's zerks there too.

Insane Audio JK1001 deck (Love It!)
Bed Rug - Bed Tred front and rear (huge difference heat wise over spray in bed liner)
Dynatrac Pro Grip Brakes (I can stop!!!)
Rubicon Express Remote Reservoir shocks (they're actually Bilstein 5160's)
Bestop Under Seat Lock Box (pew-pew napping center)
The radio is truly kick ass, I was going back and forth with myself whether to spend the money but since the OEM Navi/radio wouldn't do what I wanted and the USB port was garbage.
I love the ability to download whatever apps that I want, which means VLC for all of my movies, Weather app, Gas Buddy and GoPro app for controlling and remote watching.
The Torque app gives me all of the vehicle OBDII output in one spot, including transmission temp! So no need for getting rid of my Flashpaq for a Traildash.
Best of all, the sound blows away the stock unit. :rock:
I had the spray in bed liner in the jeep with no carpet or floor mats. WARNING!! This sucks when you live in the desert. Waaaay too hot.
I was skeptical that the Bed Tred kit would do much but I was entirely wrong. Prior you couldn't hold your hand on the floorboard for more than a few seconds without high discomfort (Dynomax Quiet Crawler right under my seat).
Slapped in the Bed Tred kit and now can put bare feet on floor, zero discomfort. :wings:
What else can I say about the Dynatrac Pro Grip's than what has been said prior? Not much, this shit works!! The difference in size and quality over OEM is remarkable. Worth every penny.
The shocks were a BI-OTCH to put in. At least the rears were. To be fair, my lower shock mounts were bashed up a little bit from crawling, I did the swap in my driveway with no cover, during the day :hot:
Now that it is all said and done, I regained my lift height since these actually work. The Rough Countries that came with the lift are done. i was able to collapse all four shocks to the bottom of their run and all four are still collapsed. Fat chance with doing that with the Bilstein's, I had to use a bottle jack just to get the bottoms up to the bottom shock mounts.
I know this was long winded but I am hoping that if there is anyone out there that is having second thoughts on any of the items, they can take what I've written into consideration and go with the purchase.

No, the other screws are set screws for the guts of the joint. Do not grease through there. Leave them as is. I don't think the frame side clevite bushing on mine had grease fittings, but I will check this weekend. I just greased them really well when I initially installed and haven't had an issue yet (15,000 miles).

Okay, got it. I greased the frame side pretty good before installing. That's good because those zirks are a pain to get to understand the wheel well. Should those screws be flush with the joint? Mine are sticking out maybe an eighth of an inch.

Just tighten them reasonably tight with the right size Allen key and call them good.

How often do you grease anything with zirks and what kind of grease are you using? I have front and rear track bars, front LCA's and my swaybar discos. I guess that's two questions, lol.

Reading on the RK website, for the clevite "flex" bushings they just want you to unscrew the grease fitting and put a few drops of 3:1 oil in the joint every time you change your oil. I grease my krawler (axle side) joints once a month or after every wheeling trip. I use 000 grade grease per their recommendations.

Caught the Bug
Cooltech versamount. Super easy install. Keep in mind there is two different versions depending on what year jk you have. Mines an 08 so I got the original versamount, 12 and up is versamount 2.
