What was done to your rig this week?

9 quarts and a mess later (and a whole can of brake clean) I got the oil changed. The oil filter removal just dumps everywhere. It takes longer to pour all 9 in than it does to change it though. Also drained what little water out of the fuel filter.

On-board air, found a different solution after my other under-hood attempt failed.

Also installed the E-air cowl, trimmed the rubber cap and it covers the hose coupler nice and snug; no dust to worry about.

I have a single hose to fill all 4 tires so I may move the coupler to the front on the same bracket as the compressor bracket and then could use a much shorter hose to connect to the compressor. I didn't think this process through :poop:

Good thing you caught it before you started having some bad death wobble.
Very much so! I've danced with Death Wobbles more than a few times, not an experience I wish to repeat.

Going over the train tracks, I can feel a slight shimmy in the steering wheel, the one that sets in right before the Death Wobbles kick in. It's just a matter of time.

What do you think of the RockJock Front Track Bar?

Installed new upper and lower control arms all around and an Adams driveshaft up front. Then Evo Plush Rides are coming in a few weeks. Jeep drives the best it has since I've owned it already and should be even better with the new coils.
 
Ordered an upgraded track bar, but it looks like it's gonna be awhile before it ships. In the interim, bought new track bar bushings for $35 for the pair so I can drive the Jeep.

When I got the track bar out, found one bushing was going bad, but the problem at the other end was an undersized bolt!

Replaced the bushing and the bolts. Steering is much tighter although it darts a bit. Tomorrow, will fiddle with the toe and center the steering wheel.
 
Rebuilt 6 of the evo control arms. I don’t have the right press for the front uppers so those are gonna have to wait. Those 6 took me and a friend all damn day. Cleaning them took the longest. Torques on the JT are pretty brutal with 2 torn shoulders and a few messed up discs in my back.
 
Installed the Tuffy Center Console, Tuffy Glovebox, and Midland MTX275 GMRS Radio. I bought an RJ45 panel mount off Amazon to run through the glovebox that the mic plugs into. I settled on putting the antenna on the cowl because the Jeep barely clears the garage as it sits. Not an ideal spot performance-wise, but it will probably be fine for the trails.
