i too hate mine. it rattles and i altogether in the way. but similar to other crap carried, it a "just in case and i hope i never use" item...

We just used one not to long ago to right a jeep that rolled onto its side, I think they are a handy tool when used properly... Just my $.02

A high-lift is the only way to jack up my rig to change a flat. Other than carrying a big Hydraulic jack. Plus the hight lift can be used as another winch/problem solver in a jam. Unlike a hydraulic.
