What do you think is the best JKU suspension/lift and why?

What's actually a little comical in all this... I just read Eddie's post (that got it all started) and it was actually quite positive on things for "someones" particular situation. The other side was to give opinion if that was not the conditions you were Jeepin in and to give some suggestions should that be the case.

I kind of overlooked the lead in as the main event was so interesting. I understood what Eddie was doing. Agreeing but also giving a flip side should one be interested in a different set up for different conditions.

The idea that there are not superior products in any industry is absurd. There is always a best in class....consumers choice...9 out of 10 dentist recommend. With offroading, it's a bit more open as it has to do with how/where you wheel. Eddie has many times recommended a TF budget boost. But that may not be the lift/set up for all.

So this is much ado about nothing the way I read it.

Wow ! I must say that The comparison between the two lifts was very explanatory and even though I had an AEV lift on my last Rubicon and loved it that I will be checking in to this other lift before purchasing a new set up for my 2013 JKRU . Thanks for the info and someone please Gag the Lil crying Bitch !

:cheesy: that is a great first post!! :cheesy:

And for the sake of not needing another argument on your forum ease don't respond to this post, just take it for what it is and move on, unless you really feel the need to respond then it will be what it will be.

:cheesy: I don't know where all that came from but, you'll forgive me if I do take the time to respond to you. :yup:

Well idk how or why but somehow you managed yet again to put down another lift and make EVO sound like the god of all lifts...

Is that really what I did? I could of sworn I explained what they could do to make their kit better and where you would see sagging of their coils when loaded up. But hey, if you say so. :idontknow:

That's the last time I post my experiences with my lift or anything you may respond to.

Fine by me. Please take your toys and go play elsewhere.

We all know nothing is better than EVO and you make that perfectly clear but at least have some respect to not tear people's posts apart just to prove a point that we should all  to EVO. In no way was I talking down about EVO products but this right here is part of the reason I would not run there products. If everyone else wants to conform to your EVO ways so be it but I was different and went with the AEV kit and this is how you treat it, by talking down to MY experiences and trying to share with someone else what helped in my choice of buying a lift and what the lift would be used for besides "rock crawling"

Dude, you seriously need to get some help. All I did was respond to you with FACTS and the experiences I've acquired over the last 6+ years working on JK's. You don't like what I have to say, don't listen to it. Really, it's as simple as that.

because remember before you rock crawl (unless your jeep is a trailer queen) you must drive to the trail and drive home, sometimes with a lot of gear so sacrificing a little flex might be worth it and not having to install coil spacers because your lift cannot hold up your jeep bumper or camping gear is a little ridiculous in my opinion.

You're right, all my Jeeps are trailer queens and I would have no idea what packing up my rigs with tons of gear and driving out to the trail, wheeling it and driving it back is like. :rolleyes2:

Do me a favor, lay off the EVO is god routine and let people have their own thoughts and share their thoughts about what they might have (if not EVO of course) without having to expect you to rip their post apart and make them look like they have no clue what they are talking about!!

Do me a favor and lay off the you are god routine and let people have their own thoughts and share their thoughts about what they have learned personally installing and testing out a myriad of lift kits including EVO without having to expect you to get all pissy and tell them that they need to shut up. And by the way, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!! :yup:

I couldn't even say these were my own opinions in my last post without you tearing that apart. Once again though just for you

Since you seemed to have missed it, those were just my opinions and you'll forgive me if I exercise my right to express them.

If you dislike Eddie enough to not ever buy an EVO product why would you even be a member of WAYALIFE!? 😐

I'm just wondering where you can get the enforcer priced @ 1800 when I was checking it out on the ORE website it was significantly more. I'm still new to this so there might be something else in the cost that I'm just oblivious to. Thanks for any help ahead of time.

Yep that's what I just ordered. I think it's like $1150 or so for just the lift no shocks, $299 for the drag link flip kit then whatever shocks you want. I did the bilstein 5100's for $90 each so total about $1800.

you can get it without shocks and the add bilsteins or ranchos for far less than the KINGs.

andrew-

Again this might be a stupid ass question but can I ask them to do that if I have ORE install the lift. By the time I can afford one i'll pry be to busy to install it myself. Lots of field ops and what not in the future.

The AEV kit costs about $2200. The EVO Enforcer kit with drag link flip/track bar relocation and a set of Rancho 7000 MT or Bilstein 5100's is only about $1800.

Sorry I missed that last bit. A little sloshed tonight. Lol

We can install it with any shocks you want.

We are gods after all...🙊

Wow, this go out of hand. Spartan, I hope you will beleive me when I say that this forum hardly ever has these kinds of arguments and durring the year and a halfthat i have been here I have never seen anyone get fired up like that.

I hope this thread hasn't turned you off to this forum. There is a ton of knowledge and good people here who just want to meet help and wheel with their fellow jeepers.

I also hope you got the information you were looking for too.

Keep on Jeepin guys! :D

In my experience, I like the stock rubicon suspension on my JKR. Stock E lockers and all. It gets me through the mild trails, rock quarries, and sand dunes with ease. Thought someone should give credit to the JKR. I have never been in a jeep with any aftermarket lift, so this is the only opinion I can honestly give. I wish I could add more. But for now I will say I love this forum.

I know this forum has lot of good people. I myself like how people pick things apart. They bring up good point that I haven't thought of, and in most cases I end up learning new things. That's why i ask for input from people that know more then me.

I will still keep asking questions, and doing my own research for another few months, so I will be ready once I'm finally able to get a new Jeep and get started with the build.

I'm Starting planning this build way in advance to make sure I can get what I feel is the best setup for my Jeep, and the roads and trails I plan on running with it.

I know we all love our Jeeps, and the Jeep "way of life", but due to some of the things I have been through due to job I signed up for. My Jeep was more then just a Jeep or a vehicle to me, and very few could understand what my Jeep meant to me. Having to sell it was the hardest none job thing I have ever had to do, but I will do anything for my family regardless of what it costs me. While I haven't been able to go run the trail I love to run for a few years I still spent many hours and days driving back roads and dirt roads with the top off my Jeep. With any luck I will be able to get a new Jeep this winter, and start the build with our tax return. As long as thing don't get off track again. We will be back will be heading back to Moab in the spring and The Rubicon in the Summer or fall.

Thank you in advance for putting up with all my question, and for you opinions and advice.

*sigh* this blew up...anyways. What's your budget like? I mean, I'm not rich and I started my whole build with some cheap (used) shocks and springs to just get me to where I could run 35's while I Anne Frank my account so I can :rolleyes2: one day, have long arms. Of course there are so many more things to consider along with the lift, like previously stated, drive shaft(s). Does your kit have brake lines and sway bar end links? I mean, there's a lot to consider. I love my cheap set up, A, because it was CHEAP, like me, B, stock JK's and Jeeps in general are actaully quiet capable vehicles, I'm not saying I'd run a stock JKUR forever and always, but stock jeeps can get in and out of places you'd probably question. Tires go a long way. But, again like previously stated, learn from others boo-boo. I'd pass on anything RC or similar and go into the world or RK or even EVO....don't flame thow me Combatvet..... but let's be honest, we've all seen the videoes of the EVO stuff at work, we've all seen videos of others as well. Consider what wheeling you're going to do, if you're not going to play in rocks or similar, you might not need a 2, 3, 4000+ dollar suspension. I'm on 4 inch Rancho springs and pro crap shocks for now, I sit about 3.5 inches over stock and My jeep rides better than stock (hardley) and It does pretty good off road. I mean, I've managed to beat up my from driveshat  and I went ahead and did brake lines. I flex out enough to be content for now, and of course will want more when the terrain I tread on is more complex. But, until I can drop the coin on shit I break I'll continue to crawl slowly and learn my driving limits.
