What do people use for a jack?

What is the go to jack for a JKU with 37's? I don't want to go with a hi lift, too heavy and can be hard to get pickup points. I like scissor jacks because they are light and easy to store. I usually would always keep a few small 4x4 pieces of wood. I have a nice aluminum floor jack that was on my prerunner. I am not sure I want to permantly mount it in the back of the Jeep. AGM makes a nice scissoe jack but it is rated for 2000lbs. Which might not be too bad, if you are only lifting one corner.

I recall that I followed the advice in this video to a T, but found that the recommended jack-buddy (to jack up on the axel shaft) did not fit over the top of the jack (because the mushroom at the top is too large). So I returned it and bought a more expensive jack which is made in the USA.

Looking at it, I'm not convinced it's any more stable than a Hi-Lift.
well it does have that large steel base on it and I figured if I could jack up under the Axel ...has to be more stable than the high-lift....I grew up with the old bumper style jacks....seen those horror stories first hand....

I saw that Etrailer bottle jack too. I wouldn't be under the car with all the extensions. But you cetainly could get creative to get out of a bind. Throw a spare tire under the Jeep so if it falls you only get half squished. LOL

Well My thought was ....I don't do tons of off road stuff and when I do it's always with other folks....and being I bought my Gladiator used and the Kind Fellow who owned it before to the Factory Jack out of it....I figured it would be better than not having one at all....
